I am extremely grateful to have had the opportunity to prepare a pitch for Staffordshire v Suffolk minor counties three day match Stafford Cricket & Hockey Club

Its something ive never done before as ive only ever done one day matches, i had to rely on gut decisions of how much water, how much grass coverage, how much rolling/brushing to make sure it wasnt too much of a batting track or a bowling track.

Thankyou to all the kind folk who commented saying how good the pitch was, personally i think it was slightly biased towards batting, but nevertheless it produced over 1300 runs, 31 wickets within 300 overs so i will take that as positive.

Massive shout to Trev Stewart over the last few days for his assistance with line marking, cover pushing and support. 🇦🇺

Looking forward to next seasons 3 day already!

Early morning rolling Eccleshall Cricket Club after a good dosing from the reguflow then back to Stafford to do final preparations for Staffordshire Cricket v Cornwall Cricket Board on the nursery square. Then onto more prep for the three day pitch on the main square Staffordshire Cricket v Suffolk. 🌱🏏

Day 2 of pitch preparation for a Staffordshire County 1st XI three day match versus Suffolk.

Yesterday we soaked the pitch to the correct depth, today we will start consolidating the pitch and covering ready to start drawing moisture out of the surface in the coming days.

I will be unavailable all next week for any other services at other clubs. But im still available on the phone, service will resume on Tuesday 25th August.
