STRENGTH TRAINING & MENOPAUSE
As we move through our 40s, 50s and beyond, our bodies change - and perhaps the way we exercise needs to change too.
We recently listened to a fascinating episode of "Feel Better, Live More", where Dr Rangan Chatterjee talks with exercise physiologist and nutritional scientist Dr Stacy Sims about menopause, ageing and exercise.
One message particularly resonated with us: Strength matters. As women move through perimenopause, menopause and later life, maintaining muscle and strength becomes increasingly important - not simply for how we look, but for how we move, function and live.
And this is where we believe the conversation around fitness needs to change.
Exercise doesn't always need to mean spending hours in the gym or doing more and more cardio.
It can mean training smarter - prioritising strength, using your time effectively and finding a form of exercise that you can realistically make part of your life.
At Bodystreet, that's exactly what we're passionate about.
Our EMS strength training sessions take just 20 minutes, once a week, with a trainer alongside you throughout the session.
Because getting older shouldn't mean giving up on being strong.
It should mean understanding your body better and training for the life you want to lead.
🎧 If you're interested in menopause, strength and healthy ageing, the conversation with Dr Stacy Sims on Feel Better, Live More is well worth a listen.
And if it leaves you thinking that strength training should become a bigger part of your life, come and talk to us. We'll happily explain how Bodystreet's strength training works, show you around and help you decide whether it could be right for you.
TRAIN SMART. LIVE WELL.
