U14’S CYNGHRAIR PÊL DROED IEUENCTID GWYNEDD:

🆚 Blaenau Ffestiniog

A strong team performance from our lads this evening in sunny Blaenau.

We started brilliantly, with the boys taking everything we’ve been working so hard on in training and implementing it into the game.

We scored some incredibly well worked goals, including another fantastic long range strike from Thomas & Charlton bagging a hat-trick.

Defending as a unit and were clinical up top for the majority of the game. The lads should be proud of the shift they put in again tonight. A really close group of mates who are giving their all for each other every week.

All the best to Blaenau for the remainder of the season!

Well done lads!

U13’S CYNGHRAIR PÊL DROED IEUENCTID GWYNEDD - PHASE ONE:

🆚 Segontium Rovers

Always a tough game this one. Last season they did the double on us, and were one of the only teams able to put quite a few goals past us over the 2 games. But today our boys showed up and gave them a game.

Dyffryn started the game strong, high pressing with no mercy, taking full control and pushing high. It didn’t take long for Charlie to find the net. The second goal came from Harri Stevens, who was really wide on the right hand side. It was supposed to be a cross into the box but ended up over the keeper and into the top left hand corner. And lastly, Vinny scoring twice to seal the win at home.

Out of all the games we play, this fixture is the most physical of them all. They do like to play a long ball and bully on and off the ball, but our defence and midfield did amazing to stand up to this and gave as good as they got.

Well done lads!

U11s Round Robin – Bontnewydd

Well done to the U11s!

We travelled up to Bontnewydd for a round robin in some challenging conditions, but the lads showed great effort, strong tackling and played some really good football throughout the games. 💪⚽

Some fantastic goalkeeping from the opposition and a few efforts hitting the post kept the scoreline down today. We could easily have found the net a few more times, but the lads kept working hard and creating chances! 👏

📋 Results:

🔹 Lost 1–0 vs Bethesda

🔹 Drew 1–1 vs Bontnewydd
⚽ Goal: David

🔹 Won 2–0 vs Segontium

A big well done to Jack for a fantastic performance! 👏

A tough but really enjoyable morning of football, with the lads showing plenty of determination and some great football along the way. Plenty of positives to take forward! ⚽💪

U15’s NWCFA CUP:

🆚 CPD Y Rhyl 1879 U15’s
LOST 5-4 ON PEN

When we saw this fixture announced, we knew it would be a difficult game. But from the first whistle, our lads didn’t hold back and went for it. We dominated the game in large spells, defending as a unit and putting Rhyl under pressure.

We did lead the game with goals from Charlton and a long range effort from Thomas, but Rhyl got an equaliser which then took us to penalties.

Sadly, we lost, but we aren’t disheartened. To go toe to toe against an established side who are a year above us and show what we’re capable of is all us coaches wanted.

Massive credit to the boys, playing 80 mins against a really physical team who are challenging for the top spot in their own league. It’s incredible work, you’ve done us all proud.

We can now put all our focus into the league this season and challenge!

U13’S CYNGHRAIR PÊL DROED IEUENCTID GWYNEDD:

🆚 Dolgellau

Really tough game for the boys tonight away to Dolgellau. Conceding early on from a corner against a really good defensive side, it was really hard to get one back for the boys. James managed to equalise not long before half time with a shot from inside the box.

Second half was the same as the first, Dolgellau are a really difficult team to break down with the boys having loads of chances. Eddie getting the goal he deserved after loads of chances putting us ahead, with Charlie following up pretty quick.

Like I said, great team effort and big well done to Alfie for stepping up and filling in as center back, rock solid performance from him tonight.

James Stokes

Harri Stevens

Well done to the under 8s who played in the pouring rain in Bethesda yesterday!

Some great football as always by both of our teams, and we came away with some fantastic wins, as well as some really valuable experience playing against some new and very good teams.

Cracking goals from Harri, Eban, Llifon, Lloyd and Carter — and some amazing saves and defending throughout the games too!

Well done everyone — you should all be really proud of yourselves!
