Hey! π
Itβs been a *while* since I last posted an update saying I was taking a break from PTing to focus on music, so here are a few updates since then!
- I worked as a singer on cruise ships around the Norwegian fjords and Caribbean islands π’
- I released an EP of original music π§
- My wife and I then left Retford to go and travel the world for a whole year, visiting 24 countries, 5 continents, and 3 wonders of the world! π
- We have now relocated to Stockport, South Manchester and are enjoying life up in the northwest π‘
I am also excited to announce that I will be joining the personal training team at MyGym - Hazel Grove ππΌ Itβs a fantastic gym with a strong emphasis on strength and conditioning which really appealed to me with my sport science background, so I canβt wait to get started! πͺ

The next couple of weeks will see some big changes for me and my career, as I step back from being a gym-based PT to focus more on my music. Iβve got lots of really exciting opportunities coming up that I would love to get involved with, but unfortunately it doesnβt leave me with enough time to make working at the gym sustainable.
Iβd like to thank Pat, Charlotte, and the whole team at .retford for having me and for the great memories weβve shared since I first moved to Retford 12 months ago. Thanks to all the members and clients whoβve worked hard in all my sessions and created a fantastic atmosphere in the gym, keep it up ππΌ
I will still be doing some PT sessions, and Iβm happy to travel to clientsβ houses / gardens for sessions from the comfort of your own home, or meet in a local park or anywhere suitable. Iβve got plenty of portable equipment to help you reach your fitness goals!
I will be posting lots of exciting updates on my music account, so please follow to see what Iβm up to, as I take my first leap into music as a full time job πΆ

Do you allow yourself enough rest? Itβs hugely important for both your physical and mental health that you give yourself time to relax and recharge! ππΌββοΈ
If you put a high strain on your body every single day then you greatly increase your risk of an overuse injury to your muscles and joints, which can cause you long-term problems! So make sure that when planning your days and weeks of training, you schedule some time for rest and recovery! π΄

A great workout .retford this morning πͺ
I introduced some Nordic Curls to the group to target the hamstrings, wowwww you can feel the burn on these! π₯΅π₯
Itβs all about controlling the eccentric (downward) phase of the movement, to really feel the stretch on the muscle and cause the best adaptations πππΌ

Are you heading out tonight but also trying to lose weight? It is definitely possible to do both! π€©
Just remember to not have too many high-calorie sugary drinks. Make simple swaps and youβll see the calories drop right down.
The same goes for daytime drinks - if you have a sugary cup of tea or coffee several times a day, that is a lot of calories that could easily be cut down!
