This one is special... A huge congratulations to Elliot Fearn on signing his first professional contract with Stoke City FC.

Elliot was one of the very first players to join Calculated Performance, starting with us just before entering Stoke’s academy. Over the past 6 years, we’ve been on a real journey together, understanding him as a player, understanding his game, working closely with his support system, and building a strong relationship.

While this moment belongs to Elliot, his journey has also shaped us. Progressing from grassroots to the professional game teaches you invaluable lessons. Elliot has helped shape our curriculum and shown us what is actually required at each stage of the pathway. Those lessons are now being passed on to hundreds of players every single week throughout our programmes.

In an industry where some are quick to claim credit once the outcome is visible, this is different. This is 6 years of real work, week in, week out. A reminder of the Japanese proverb: “The skilled hawk hides its claws.”

Our first grass-based centre features 5v5, 7v7, 9v9 and full 11v11 pitches. The natural surface and increased space help to create a realistic playing environment, suited to players from grassroots through to professional level.
