Stockport Smashers Rounders Team

Last night the Smashers took on the Saddleworth Panthers in a friendly and came away with a 12.5–5 win! 🔥

A brilliant game against such a lovely team, with some tight fielding and great bowling from Saddleworth throughout. We’re really grateful to the Panthers for travelling all the way from Saddleworth to play us!

Also a huge thank you to our two umpires for travelling to our home pitch, we really appreciate you! ❤️

Another strong performance from the Smashers with some brilliant fielding and teamwork throughout. A few of the girls stepped into new positions for the game and did an amazing job! 👏🏽

Huge congratulations to Alison our Team MVP, for her brilliant batting and fielding and Charlotte our Captains MVP for a brilliant all round performance and fabulous backstopping!

Today, 2 of our Smashers took part in the Silsden Rounders Charity Tournament, alongside some incredible players from the Manchester and Burnley League ❤️

After a very last minute decision to enter a Manchester Mixed Team, the girls only went and came 3rd!! 🔥

What a day and what a team! Well done ladies 👏🏽

A 7–7 draw against Swinton last night! Taking on the current league leaders was always going to be a challenging game, especially with only 8 players, but the girls gave it everything! 🔥

Our fielding was on point once again and just keeps getting better and better every game! 👏🏽

Huge congratulations to Ellie, our Team MVP for her amazing backstop skills and those perfect throws to 1st and our Captain’s MVP Susan for an incredible performance on 1st and getting so many outs! ❤️

Another win for the Smashers last night, with a final score of 13–8.5 against Altrincham All Rounders! 🔥

It was another strong team performance with some excellent batting, great fielding and brilliant teamwork from start to finish 👏🏽

A huge congratulations to Alison on picking up both the Team MVP and Captains MVP after a fantastic all round performance, including some brilliant outs on first and scoring her first ROUNDER! ⚾️❤️

Another really strong performance from the Smashers last night! Although the result didn’t go our way, there were lots of positives to take away from the game and it’s great to see how much we’re improving week on week! 🔥

Huge congratulations to Charlotte, who picked up the Captain’s MVP, Team MVP and Umpire’s Player of the Match after a fantastic all round performance. She also finished as our highest scorer of the evening with 1.5 rounders👏
