💚 Not all heroes wear capes… some give the gift of life. 💚

Lisa’s story is one of incredible strength and courage. As a teenager, she fought and beat cancer more than once, and years later faced kidney failure and the challenge of needing a transplant.

On 4th September 2026, Lisa received the gift of life — a kidney transplant (now named Dolly)

None of this would have been possible without Rachel. When they discovered Rachel wasn't a direct match, she could have stopped there, but she didn't. Through the kidney sharing scheme, Rachel was matched with someone in Birmingham, whose loved one was a match for Lisa. Two donations, four operations — and thankfully, all four were successful. ❤️

Rachel’s selflessness is truly inspirational, and Lisa will be forever grateful.

This story is very personal to me being friends with Lisa, and my own mum sadly passed away from kidney failure many years ago. We want to help raise awareness of kidney disease, organ donation and the kidney sharing scheme.
