Reminder for all that the test run is happening tonight.

🎆 BLYTHE CRICKET CLUB – FIREWORKS ANNOUNCEMENT 🎆
Blythe Cricket Club will once again be holding our annual fireworks event this year on Friday 6th November. 🎇
Ahead of the event, we will need to carry out a small fireworks test run.
This will take place on:
📅 Monday 28th September
⏰ Approximately 7:30pm – 8:00pm
🎆 The fireworks themselves will last around 15 minutes.
We have taken on board the feedback we received following last year’s event, particularly regarding the fireworks continuing for longer than advertised and finishing later than expected. We want to reassure everyone that we have listened to this feedback and have used this to avoid a repeat this year. The test will be kept short, and we will have everything completed by 8:00pm.
We appreciate your understanding and patience while we carry out this necessary test ahead of the main event. Thank you for your continued support of Blythe Cricket Club.

What a wonderfully special day for Blythe CC. 💙🏏
To see three parents and their siblings taking the field together for the 2nd Team is something to be incredibly proud of. Cricket is about so much more than runs and wickets — it’s about family, friendship, belonging and creating memories that will last a lifetime.

Days like this are exactly what a cricket club should be about. A huge well done to everyone involved, and thank you for helping make Blythe CC such a special place to be. ❤️🏏

To all who may be concerned

The work yesterday was preparatory work and not the actual chemical treatment.

In any event the contractors have confirmed that the chemical treatment is not harmful to humans and animals but they advise a notice is put out more as an over precaution and to keep people off the ground to allow product to work.

When the chemical treatment is applied, whilst it is not harmful for those humans and animals walking through, the specialist contractor has confirmed that they will not be spraying on the public right of way area and that they do nonetheless provide the material data sheets and notices which will be displayed at the ground.

We will keep people posted about the future work.
