The Yard

It's with a sadness in my heart that I have to bring you the sad news that one of the ladies who used to volunteer at The Yard sadly pasted away on Wednesday, those of you who were privileged to have met her will no that TINA was a lovely caring lady who would do anything for anyone and even though due to poor health she stepped away from her commitments completely she was and always will be fondly remembered and very sadly missed by everyone whose life she touched throughout her years as a volunteer at The Yard, The Spiritulist Church and various council committees, Rest in piece Tina, God has gained another Angel in heaven, fly high, beautiful lady.
We will love and miss you dearly.

RIP Captain Sir Tom Moore

Good Afternoon everyone as we are staying in tier 3 until into the New Year we would like to wish you all a very merry Christmas. We are heartbroken not to see you all before & over the festive period & we hope that you will all return & help support us at The Yard Community Facility as much as possible in the New Year & hopefully things will get back to normal as soon as its safe to do so, all the best for 2021. ❤. Please stay safe everyone.

It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I have to announce that after 22 years of hosting our annual Spider Hunt on Halloween we are not able to hold this event this year due to Covid 19 social distancing measures imposed on us, we hope you all carry on the tradition in your own households, still dress up, perhaps parents could organise a spider hunt in your own homes and garden by placing clues around for your children to locate, still carve your pumpkins, make scary fairycakes, decorate your home and garden and most of all enjoy this night as a family, it will be strange for the families that have attended every year but what ever you decide to do have a wonderful time and we hope to see you all soon, the staff and volunteers are missing you all so much, just stay safe and we will get through this then party like theres no tomorrow.

Covid 19 update !!!!!

We have taken the decision that due to social distancing, even though we have the space to do it that we will not be opening until regulations have lifted to at least small group gatherings as we feel it is not the type of establishment where children can not play freely with their friends, I hope you understand why this decision has been taken. We will use our time wisely to do some much needed refurbishments and look forward to welcoming you all back at the safest opportunity.
Stay safe and we will keep you updated as things progress.
