Everyone at the Warriors would like to wish Luna a massive Happy 6th Birthday!

Luna is always there supporting her big brother Milo, even today on her birthday. She’s also been giving the coaches some much needed help at training recently! We all hope you’ve had an amazing birthday, even with a 9am football match to watch!

The boys were up against Bradwell black and what a tough game it ended up being.

Bradwell played fantastic football throughout which just proved to be too much for the Warriors, who battled throughout and were unlucky on a few occasions but were up against it against an inspired goalkeeping performance who made some unbelievable saves.

Today was a good lesson to the boys who never gave up against arguably the best team we will play all season!

Players of the match - Spencer and Milo - both lads put in a real shift today, Spencer despite feeling unwell at the start worked so hard, and deserved more from the game. Milo was everywhere today, covered every blade of grass and stopped so many attacks, and was unlucky not to get an assist or two today.

One of those days today where we hold our hands up and applaud the opposition, we will go again!

Good luck to Bradwell Black for the rest of the season

Well done to the lads tonight who played against Edward & Tsvetan’s Saturday team, Ferdinand Collective.

Edward and Tsvetan played for Ferdinand and were absolutely brilliant in what would have been a tough game for them playing against their teammates. We are extremely proud of them both for not only how they played, but how they handled themselves.

All of the boys deserve a shout out, Milo was magnificent, stopping so many attacks and getting the ball forward, Arty as calm as ever on the ball and a constant threat throughout the game. Jack with a couple of brilliant saves and some great passes to start the Warriors moves. Spencer back in the goals and looking unplayable, playing in several positions and looking like a seasoned pro! Ralph also playing in several positions, and no matter the position was an absolute menace and was as clinical as ever. Then we have Jax, arguably his best game for us, unplayable at times and got what he deserved with a couple of goals, both well taken, but especially his second with an absolute rocket!

Well done to the boys and thank you to Ferdinand Collective for coming, great game and hope to see you all soon!

The lads were back in action again against Newcastle Wanderers and once again there was nothing to separate the two teams.

The Warriors started off out of character but grew in to it as the game went on and ended really strongly! Both teams played some fantastic football and scored some wonderful football.

A moment of madness which can’t be ignored, Jack changing sport for a few moments, forgetting it was the ball he was chasing and went full on rugby mode. Luckily the ref was lenient and Jack escaped a 100% nailed on red card! Fortunately he got away with just giving away a penalty, which he then went on to save.

Managers player of the match - Arty. This boy gets better and better every training session and every game. He’s instrumental to the Warriors, playing in all positions and doing a fantastic job wherever he plays. Wonderful performance!

Coaches player - Tsvetan. This was his best ever game for the Warriors today, despite all of the wonderful wing play, which led to some great goals, the highlight of his match where he single handedly won 4 one on ones against the opposition within a few seconds and ended up earning his team a goal kick. A moment that subs Tsvetan up, with the tackles getting more cheers than a goal!

It was such a difficult game as always against Newcastle Wanderers U9 Yellows and certainly an entertaining one!

Despite two of those boys moving onto Milton Cobras, all of them will forever be known as the OG 7. Where in our first competitive game at the Wendy Jones tournament the boys blew everyone away with a comfortable win.

Since that day, we’ve had

Tsvetan (who literally joined the week after)
Charlie
Ralph
Arty

… joining the ranks and developing into the team you all know today. All of us are looking forward to what this season is going to bring further before we step up to 7v7 next season!

The lads were back in action today against a very tough Cheadle S.M.U green and what a first game it was!

The Warriors were out of the blocks quickly and blew us all away with the football they were playing. They scored some fantastic team goals and were a joy to watch. It was great to see them all battle for each other and put in a real good all round display.

This is just the beginning for the boys this season as we all work hard to improve and go in the right direction! There won’t be many better games played between two sides today and it was a really enjoyable battle between two impressive teams.

Player of the match was a team one today as they all deserved it through an excellent team performance.

Good luck to all the NSJYL teams this season, let’s all make it another memorable one.

Plenty of ups and downs to come for the Warriors no doubt, but they will be giving it their all every second they are on the pitch and that’s all we can ask!
