⚽ Milton Hurricanes U10s vs Kidsgrove Saints U10’s

A tricky test for the Milton Hurricanes this afternoon in just their third competitive outing, and while the result didn’t go our way, the spirit, determination, and team play on display continue to give us plenty to shout about. 💥

The boys showed real grit, especially in the final quarter, refusing to let their heads drop and pushing until the final whistle. Two late goals showed the character in this young team and gave the supporters something to celebrate. 🙌

⚽️ Goal 1
A well-worked move from a brilliant run and driven cross by Jenson straight from the kick-in. Noah was in the right place at the far post, held off his defender and calmly slotted it home. Quality teamwork! 👏

⚽️ Goal 2
Another signature Bobby run, weaving past defenders before cutting it back across goal. Noah was there again to hammer home his second of the match, and fifth in just two games! A natural finisher! 🔥

There were other chances too, and on another day, this could easily have gone our way. But results aside, this team is developing fast. The effort, attitude, and chemistry are clear to see. 💪

➡️ Plenty to build on and loads of positives. Keep working hard, stay positive until the final whistle and you never know what can happen.

OUR FIRST WIN!

We couldn’t be prouder of the Hurricanes today, first win under our belt and it feels good! ⚽️💙

🔒 The defence was rock solid – Will, Harvey, Matthew and Alex all brilliant with blocks, tackles and clearances. So much more assured every week.

⚡ Jenson grabbed our 4th goal, added a couple of assists and showed real character to come back strong after a tough knock.

🎯 Noah bagged a superb hat trick up top – really starting to find his feet, using his awareness brilliantly and causing the opposition all sorts of problems.

🔥 Thomas was everywhere again – full of energy, breaking up play and finding forward passes to create chances.

🐾 James played like a terrier in midfield, full of bite but also real quality on the ball.

💥 Dougie worked his socks off up top and wide, always pressing, always causing problems for the opposition.

🧤 Jacob put in another confident performance in goal – commanding his area with his voice and improving distribution to match his shot-stopping.

⚽️Match Report – Milton Hurricanes vs Newcastle Town Juniors ⚽️

A tough first competitive outing for the Hurricanes today against a strong Newcastle Town Juniors Side

Plenty of positives though – the first two quarters were really close, with the boys matching them for 20 minutes and showing just how far they’ve come. Some brilliant runs from Noah, Bobby and Jenson caused real problems going forward, we just couldn’t quite find that finishing touch!

Let’s not forget this is the lads’ very first competitive match, up against a team that’s played together for 3–4 seasons – the effort and spirit shown was superb and the boys never stopped working.

⭐ Manager’s Player – Thomas: pressing all over the pitch, making life difficult for their attackers and running tirelessly.
⭐ Parents’ Player – Jacob: pulled off some amazing saves in just his 3rd/4th game in goal, plus great distribution again!

Plenty to build on and we go again next week against Longton Potters! 💙⚽️

🔥 Final Pre-Season Friendly 🔥

Milton Hurricanes faced local rivals Milton Mavericks in their last pre-season test – a tight battle that finished 1-1! ⚽️

The lads were brilliant from start to finish and the progress since the start of pre-season has been incredible 💪. We’re so proud of how far they’ve come!

⚽️ Goal – Bobby broke the deadlock with a driving run through midfield, past the defence, before smashing it inside the near post to put us 1-0 up! Mavericks hit back in the third quarter, and the boys dug deep in the fourth to see out a deserved draw 👏.

🏅 Parents’ Player – Bobby ⭐ for running the game in midfield, creating chances, and bagging his well-earned goal.
🧤 Manager’s Player – Jacob ⭐ with some outstanding saves, calm distribution, and brilliant positivity – superb from our new keeper!

The season kicks off tomorrow – we’re ready and buzzing to get underway! 🙌💥

⚽ Milton Hurricanes vs Six Towns Blurton – Friendly Match Update ⚽

A very much improved display AGAIN from the Hurricanes today – and 3 brilliant goals to show for it! 💥

🔥 Goals:
• Jenson opened the scoring after a silky assist from Noah, smashing it home at the near post.
• Noah then doubled the tally with a Harry Kane-style swivel and strike – bottom corner, across the keeper. Lovely finish!
• Bobby rounded things off with one of his trademark jinxing runs, capped off with a beautiful finish.

Every single one of the boys gave 100% and we couldn’t be prouder as parents and coaches of their progress 👏👏. We’re sure that if our keeper Jacob had been there today, we’d have gone on to take the win! 🧤💪

The storm is rumbling and building up ready for the start of the season, 2 more friendlies booked in for the next 2 weeks and the boys will be ready and raring to go. 🌪️⚡️

Coaches Player - Matthew…. First game after coming back from holiday and made some crucial tackles and interceptions, did brilliantly from start to finish! 🪨
