💙 TODAY, GEORGE RUNS FOR IVY 🩷

Today, one of our own dads, George, embarks on the final 21 miles of an incredibly emotional journey in memory of his beautiful daughter, Ivy, who sadly passed away. 🕊️

George’s route has been carefully chosen to take him through some of the most important places in Ivy’s story.

🏃‍♂️ 21 miles — one mile for every week Amy carried Ivy.

Along the way, George will pass:

🏠 The house where George and Amy found out they were expecting Ivy
🏡 The home where Ivy would have grown up
🏥 Royal Stoke — where Ivy was born
🏢 Bentilee Neighbourhood Centre — where they found out about the problems Ivy had at her 20-week scan
🕊️ Carmountside Crematorium — where they said their final goodbyes to their beautiful daughter

And then, after 21 emotional miles, George will finish at Bagnall Cricket Club, arriving at around 2pm, where there will be refreshments and pizzas waiting.

This isn’t just a run.

It’s 21 miles of love, remembrance, heartbreak and a father’s promise to keep Ivy’s memory alive.

So today, let’s get behind George. 💙🩷

If you’re anywhere along the route, get out, give him a wave, cheer him on, clap, shout his name or simply let him know he’s not running alone.

And if you can’t be there in person, leave a message for George below. Every message, every bit of support and every mile matters.

Run strong, George. Run for Ivy. 🕊️

From all of us at Forget Me Knot FC — we’ve got you, mate. 💙🩷

💙 WORLD SU***DE PREVENTION DAY 💙

After the loss of a baby or child, dads are often asked:

“How is your partner doing?”

But not always:

“How are YOU doing?”

Bereaved dads can become very good at saying “I’m fine” while carrying unimaginable grief, trauma, anxiety and depression behind closed doors.

That’s why Forget Me Knot FC exists. ⚽💙

We’re more than a football team. We’re a group of bereaved dads who talk, listen, laugh, play football and, most importantly, understand.

You don’t have to explain your grief.
You don’t have to pretend you’re okay.
And you don’t have to face it alone.

Today, check on the dads — especially the ones who always say they’re fine.

And if you’re struggling, please reach out. Our door is always open.

You matter. Stay. Talk. Let someone stand beside you. 💙

⚽ Football. Friendship. Peer Support.

🤍 🕊️ WAVE OF LIGHT 2026 – STOKE-ON-TRENT 🕯️

This October, families across Stoke-on-Trent will come together at Stoke Minster for a very special Wave of Light remembrance event.

As part of Baby Loss Awareness Week, the Wave of Light is a moment for us to stop, reflect and remember the babies and children who are loved, missed and carried with us every single day.

At 7pm, candles will be lit in their memory, joining thousands of other lights across the country and around the world. 🕯️

For us at Forget Me Knot FC, events like this mean so much. We know how important it is for bereaved dads, mums and families to have somewhere they can remember their children openly and say their names with pride.

📅 Thursday 15 October 2026
📍 Stoke Minster, Glebe Street, Stoke-on-Trent, ST4 1LP
🚪 Doors open: 6pm
💙 Please be seated by: 6:45pm
🕯️ Candle lighting & reflection: 7pm
☕ Refreshments will also be available.

Whether your loss was recent or many years ago, your baby or child will always be part of your family and their light will always matter.

We’d love to see members of the Forget Me Knot FC family there as we stand alongside the wider baby-loss community and remember together.

At 7pm, we light a candle. We say their names. We remember the lives that should have been.

For every baby.
For every child.
For every family.
For every dad. 💙

Forever loved. Forever remembered. Never forgotten. 🕯️

💙 Our thoughts are with Russell Howard and his family following the heartbreaking news that his baby boy, Felix, died shortly after birth earlier this year.

We send all our love and support to Russell, his wife Cerys, and everyone who loves and misses Felix.

At Forget Me Knot FC, we know only too well the devastating impact that the death of a baby or child can have on a family and how important it is that dads are supported through their grief too.

There is no right way to grieve. For many dads, finding somewhere they can talk openly, be around others who understand and simply know they aren’t navigating this journey alone can make such a difference.

It is incredibly moving to see The Felix Foundation being created in Felix’s memory. We wish Russell and Cerys every success as they build something positive and meaningful in their little boy’s name. 💙

And from all of us at Forget Me Knot FC, our door is always open.

To Russell, and to any dad affected by pregnancy, baby or child loss whether your loss was recent or many years ago you are always welcome.

Football. Friendship. Peer support. 💙⚽

For Felix. And for every baby and child who should still be here. 💙

If this news has brought difficult feelings or memories to the surface, please reach out to someone you trust or a support organisation. You don’t have to carry it alone.
