Trophy League game no.4 this morning.
We paused and held a minutes silence for a great man, a local football legend...Bob Hickman. You will be sorely missed, our deepest thoughts are with your loved ones through this tough time.
Today we hosted Forrest Falcons South in a competitive game for both sides. Our lads started the game unlike themselves, a bit sluggish and not playing as they normally do. I'd put that down to pre games nerves as a win will secure them the trophy league title as winners. We went into half time 2-1 down.
Again, this bunch of lads has so much resilience, never say die attitude. 2nd half was a complete different story, dominated majority of the 2nd half. Played some fantastic stuff, worked so hard as a team, moving forward and back together. Was great to see.
They finished the game winning 4-2. An awesome comeback ππ»ππ» well done boys, be super proud of yourselves, me, Josh and all the parents are π
With the win today, means the lads have won their respective trophy league, a fantastic achievement, after only being all together since August last year. The bond they all have with each other is unreal. Plenty of memories made and plenty more to come in the future.
Well done lads, hold your heads high and chests out. You deserve all the credit you get. The smiles on your faces at the end is an image ill cherish forever. ππ»β½οΈππ»β½οΈππ»β½οΈ
One last game left next week, let's keep the momentum and try to go unbeaten, your all more than capable of doing so πͺπ»

Today marked Trophy League game no.3 and the lads didnt disappoint what so ever.
From the first whistle the boys battled hard and showed how well they play as a team.
They created a handful of chances which the opposition goalkeeper was equal too. On the other end, they had a few half chances which our goalkeeper was more than equal to. After some neat play by the lads they found themselves going ahead into half time.
2nd half the lads played really well, worked hard for each other, plenty of communication and a desire to defend as much as attack. We were very unlucky to concede an own goal but the lads battled super hard and got the all important winner. ππ»ππ»ππ»ππ»
Another win boys, be super proud of what your achieving this season. Especially since being together fully since August. Its phenomenal. Well done lads πβ½οΈπβ½οΈ

Trophy League game no. 2 got underway this morning. What a fantastic team performance the boys have put in today, they had to dig deep at times and boy, they definitely rolled up their socks and took the game by the scruff of the neck.
We started bright, good passing and movement, showing great desire and willingness which helped us find the lead early on. The boys then took the foot off the gas and relaxed a little too much which as we know in football isnt going to help, this found them 3-1 down after 15 mins or so.
What happened next is nothing short of pure brilliance, no heads dropping just a fantastic desire to step it up a couple of gears ππ»ππ»ππ»
We went in at half time 3-3. Great comeback before half time.
2nd half the boys again stepped up another gear, controlled majority of the second half, great passing plays, hard work and some brilliant finishing. Absolutely fantastic attitude today boys, it's never over till its over, well done and be so proud of yourselvesβ½οΈβ½οΈβ½οΈ
Fantastic commitment and drive to help each other out. Exactly what a team should do.

Today saw us play our first Trophy League game as a new team. Brilliant team spirit and grit shown today from the boys.
Was always going to be a tough game with harrowing winds and the grass being too long, made it difficult for the lads to play their normal style of play, and also vs a tough opposition.
First half the lads battled extremely well and and remained resilient throughout, getting bodies behind the ball, plenty of blocks, tackles and a few cracking saves. They went into half time one behind...
Second half they rallied together, shown real team spirit and stepped it up a gear or two. They dominated majority of the 2nd half and got the end result they all wanted.
Keep on with this lads and take the attitude into the next training session and game.

A great performance again from the lads this morning in a competitive game.
From start to finish our lads dominated the game, plenty of hard work and communication all the way through. They created lots of chances and remained disciplined in and out of possession.
Some very good saves from our opponents goalkeeper kept them in the game. We finished all square but the lads can hold their heads very high after that performance. Not the score line they deserved but thats football for you, they did everything really well and was really unlucky not to score a lot more.
Keep this hard work, communication and desire up lads. Its showing week in week out how much your improving individually and as a team, its great to see ππ»β½οΈππ»β½οΈππ»β½οΈ
Well done to our goalie Jackson, had a quiet morning really but remained fully concentrated and always talking to the lads ππ»β½οΈ

Last night the lads travelled to West Hagley for a mid week friendly.
From start to finish, it was a thrilling game which saw us share 10 goals evenly. Great positive signs from our boys.
The game was awesome to watch, both sets of teams played there part. Our boys showed hard work, determination and desire, all whilst playing some neat football too.
I can't be any prouder of their performance last night, they should be proud too and hold their heads high after playing so well against a team 3 divisions higher than us. Again, we had loads of positives and also a few things to work on, exactly what you want.
Well done lads ππ»β½οΈππ»β½οΈππ»β½οΈ

Fantastic team performance today from all the lads ππ»β½οΈππ»β½οΈ
Today we lined up vs Sedgley White Lions, and from the first minute to the last, the lads were very organised, loads of communication and desire. Just what they needed.
The lads started the game very sharp, moving the ball around nice which set them up for the rest of the game. They dominated large parts of the game with passion, desire and a willingness about all of them. There was some great passing moves throughout both halves of the game and fully deserved the end result.
Hats off to Sedgley too, they never gave up and forced us to keep moving the ball quickly.
Night and Day compared to the first 10 mins of last weeks game. A massive well done boys, you listened brilliantly and remained fully focused throughout. ππ»πππ»π

This morning we faced a well organised side in Bilbrook Juniors.
We started the game a little sluggish and lacked some intensity and concentration, which found us behind after 10 minutes.
From that point the lads really rallied together and stepped it up a gear. We created plenty of chances first and second half, either some quality saves from their goalkeeper or lacked that killer instinct in front of goal.
Although not our strongest performance, the lads can still be very proud as after the initial first 10 minutes they did plenty to get more out of the game. Sometimes this happens in football, but we move on and learn from it. Still plenty of positives from the game.
Well done today lads, keep working hard, listening and enjoying doing what you all love.

Yesterday saw us travel to Wolverley High to face Kiddy Lions, it was a fantastic performance from the lads on a boggy pitch.
We started very well, moving the ball around as best we could, linking up with each other well. Whilst being strong defensively too.
The boys dominated majority of the game, giving great communication, desire and hard work, they should be very proud of themselves.
They created a boat full of chances throughout and remained well organised too ππ»ππ» was a great game to watch and to see the smiles on their faces at the final whistle is what its all about.
Massive well done boys, this shows you what hard work, communication and desire gives you. Keep pushing lads πβ½οΈ

And we move onto our last player but certainly not least.... Leo. I will definitely feel emotional writing this as hes not only a player but my best mate. Even though I get called bro and bruv before Dad sometimes.
Leo is the whole reason we are all here. What this kid has gone through in the last 2 years, no kid should have to but always stayed strong willed and smiling.
It's hard being the gaffers son, I'm naturally harder on him than the others, sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt. We are both learning on the job and how to be coach and player rather than father and son.
Leo has got a natural love for the game, always wants to improve, loves a tackle and given the opportunity has a rocket of a left foot. Keep working hard me lad, the world's your oyster.
Favourite position? CB
Favourite football player? CR7 or R9 couldn't decide
Favourite pre-game meal? Egg sammy with fruit on the side
Why do you play football? Its my favourite thing to do and want to do it as a job
What do they love most about football? Seeing my team mates, tackling and pinging passes
