THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced Compliance Officer to serve as our named Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) under the Money Laundering (Prevention and Prohibition) Act 2022. This is a , standalone compliance function reporting directly to the CEO. The post holder will own client compliance (KYC/KYB/AML/EDD), regulatory licensing and accreditation, and internal legal and policy compliance across our Nigeria, UK, and France operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
•Act as named MLRO and manage all AML/CFT obligations.
•Own and enforce the company's KYC/KYB client onboarding framework.
•Maintain NRS APP and SI accreditation and all regulatory submissions.
•Draft and enforce compliance policies and deliver staff training.
•Advise leadership on all legal and regulatory risk matters.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
•LLB minimum Second Class Upper (2:1); BL (Nigerian Law School) strongly preferred.
•Minimum 3 to 7 years in compliance, legal, or AML/CFT roles.
•Proven experience as a named MLRO in a regulated Nigerian entity.
•Strong knowledge of the Money Laundering (Prevention and Prohibition) Act 2022, Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, and Nigeria Tax Administration Act 2025.
•CAMS certification is an advantage.
