Leon ladies vs Hurworth

A tough one for the girls given the circumstances
we went out with a bare 11, and no subs so we knew we’d have to graft from the very first whistle 💪

We created chance after chance but the mud made it hard to get that final touch right. After a few questionable offside calls Shan finally got her well deserved goal with a tidy tap in after working none stop up top 👏

Kim and bex kept pushing and after one cracking strike from Kim she unfortunately picked up a bad hamstring injury and had to head to hospital leaving us down to 10.

Hurworth managed to grab one back, but Shannon wasn’t done yet… using her pace, she burst through again and slotted home another beauty to make it 2–1 ⚡️

Later in the game an accidental clash led to one of our girls seeing a red card taking us down to just 9 players. Hurworth got another to level it at 2–2 but from there we fought right to the final whistle.

Every single player should be proud! from defence to attack everyone gave everything. Hats off to Liv for some brilliant saves 🧤
It’s not the result we wanted, but we’ll take the point and hold our heads high.
