First week of Season 1 for FootballXL Liverpool
A nice cool night at Leisure United Jericho Lane Gym and Football for our first game week of season 1 with plenty of fantastic football on display!
The early kick off saw Monchen Fatbacks take on Boca Seniors in a thrilling inaugural contest. The Fatbacks opened the scoring which saw them 1-0 up at half time but a handball early in the second half saw yellows draw level with a cooly taken penalty. Blacks responded with a brace of calmly slotted opportunities before another contentious handball in the box saw the Seniors captain scoring from the rebound of another penalty. Yellows fought to keep themselves in it but at full time the scoreline was 4-2 to Monchen Fatbacks.
At 8:30pm it was BMI Munich against Less Ham United in an even closer contest than the match previous. Greens took an early lead from the first passage of play, rifling 2 more goals in to make it 3-0 half way through the first half. Whites responded with a couple of goals of their own before a 25 yard scorcher from greens ricocheted in off the post to bring the score to 4-2 at half time. Whites came out swinging in the second half to bring the score level at 4-4 but BMI Munich applied the pressure and scored a flurry of goals in succession. In the last 10 minutes Less Ham gave it everything to get back into the game, almost bringing the score level with a equaliser coming off the wrong side of the post in the dying minutes but it was BMI Munich who took the 3 points as the game finished 7-6.

A decent mild evening and some new players met us for the penultimate game of the season.
Blues were relying on Whites to pull off a result against Blacks to have a chance to still fight for the league title but even though it was a great game, Blacks came out 6-1 winners.
Blues themselves ended up 1-1 against the Reds in a game that could have ended 7-7
Yellows blooded in their new signings as the Greens pushed for Europe, ending 8-1 as the Yellows need time to gel.
End of the season next week before we all get together to figure out any needed transfers and reset of the league, excited to see next season start after this warm up run.

A week where the news was filled with talk of Wimbledon, our own shout of “new balls please” was answered by the FootballXL gods!
A possibly too warm evening started with a solid performance from both Black and Green which could have went either way but saw blacks sn**ch it 3-1.
Blue vs White was high scoring as Blues do everything in their power to close the point and goal difference gap, coming out 7-3 winners and hoping Blacks slip up.
Late game being Yellow v Red, a closer game than the score suggests after the borrow penalties had their say but it certainly didn’t disappoint. 4-1 final score

FootballXL Sunderland Leisure United Downhill Football and Gym Season 1 Week 7.
An overcast, drizzly evening awaited us as game week seven rolled in.
Depending on results, team Black could have had their lead finally caught although still would have been top on goal difference.
The Blues did everything in their power to change that goal difference by putting 12 past Yellows who are absolutely crying out for new players (if you know anyone, get them joined up)
While on the second pitch, Blacks stretched the lead with a tight 3-2 win against the Reds.
Greens just about fought off a spirited and newly resurgent White team who look a whole new outfit with their influx of players
