Happy Birthday Ethan!!!

On Saturday our girls competed in their first ever tournement. Unfortunately the day didnt go in our favour, but on paper we were the lowest ranked team of the day and up against Northumbrian League Premier division teams and high division russel Foster teams, we did really well.

We never conceded more than 2 goals in a game and even scored a couple of our own. The girls can hold their heads up high and be so proud of themselves as we the coaches are because it could have been a completely different story to be told.

Great effort girls. Let's take these positives into the season ahead.

Thanks to Akash Singh for coming along and helping our Saturday and Sunday lads get in tip top shape for our upcoming season.

Sunderland Redhouse Youth FC would like to introduce their first girls team to start in the RFYL girls division.

Today we started our Pre-Season with a friendly against Durham FC.
Today's game was about putting in place everything we have been training for, from trying new positions for some players to playing in some new formations.

Off the belt the girls were hungry for the game and put the pressure on and kept it on, it didn't take too long for the first goal to go in to put us into the lead.
The girls passed the ball around and moved with the ball so well that the opposition struggled to get any possession.
Unfortunately not long before the half time whistle Durham Scored and equalised.

The aim for the second half was the same and the girls were still hungry. The ball kept moving as they passed between each other really well and the goals started to flow and we scored another 4 throughout the half.
Durham still had a couple of really good chances and with some really good saves from our keeper she kept us in it.
(Some saves i would say were for the cameras if we had any😄)
