๐ BTCL The Hundred Balls 2026 โ Opening Ceremony ๐
The BTCL The Hundred Balls 2026 season officially got underway with a colourful and well-organised opening ceremony held on 8 August 2026 at Tentelow Sports Cricket Club, Southall.
It was wonderful to see captains and managers representing almost all of the 28 participating teams coming together to mark the start of another exciting season. A few representatives were unable to attend, but the occasion was filled with great enthusiasm, team spirit and anticipation for the tournament ahead.
On behalf of the BTCL Social Media Team, we would like to extend our sincere thanks and appreciation to Krishna, the Tournament Coordinator, for his tremendous effort in organising the event, and to Jeyaraj, the backbone of the BTCL The Hundred Balls tournament, for his continued dedication, commitment and hard work behind the scenes.
๐ Thank you, Krishna and Jeyaraj, for making the opening ceremony such a memorable occasion.
We wish all 28 teams, captains, managers and players the very best for the BTCL The Hundred Balls 2026 season.

In Loving Memory of Ayman Rifan
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ayman Rifan, beloved son of Rifan Faiz, who sadly departed this life on 9 August 2026, at the age of just 18.
His untimely passing has left an immeasurable void in the hearts of his family, friends, teammates, and all those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Ayman was a young man with a genuinely kind and caring heart. His warmth, humility, and character left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to have known him. He was a loving son who brought happiness and comfort to his family, always showing affection, respect, and thoughtfulness towards those around him.
Beyond his achievements and ambitions, it was Aymanโs gentle nature and willingness to help others that truly made him special. His involvement in bringing people together through community initiatives was a reflection of his caring spirit and his desire to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
Ayman also made his mark on the cricket field as a valued member of Redbridge Lankians Sports & Social Club CC, competing in the British Tamil Cricket League (BTCL). He proudly represented the club for the past six years, developing into a talented right-arm pace bowler and left-hand batsman. He made valuable contributions to his team with both bat and ball, and his presence on and off the field will be deeply missed by his teammates and the wider cricketing community.
At only 18 years of age, Ayman had so much more life ahead of him. His memory, his kindness, his laughter, and the impact he had on those around him will forever remain in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved him.
Please keep Ayman and his family in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.
May his soul rest in eternal peace. ๐๐พ
Rest in peace, Ayman. You will never be forgotten.
