New swimmers — anyone new to our facility looking to begin lessons with a strong foundation.
Progressing swimmers — children moving up to the next stage who need extra support to make the transition smooth and successful.

Even in the height of summer, open water can be much colder than expected.
Cold water shock can cause a sudden gasp, fast breathing and panic — making it difficult to swim or think clearly.
That’s why the RNLI teaches: Float first. Breathe. Then think.
Taking a moment to calm your breathing gives your body time to adjust and helps you make safer decisions.
It’s a simple technique that saves lives.

It’s a practical, empowering workshop that helps children feel prepared for real‑life situations.

We’re always grateful when families share their experiences with us.
Here’s a recent testimonial that warmed our hearts:

The instructor is always ready and supportive, helping the children feel confident in the water. It is a great place for them to learn, practise, and enjoy swimming. Overall, it is a very positive experience.”
Thank you to every family who chooses to learn with us — your trust means everything.

As summer approaches, our team spends time preparing for the season ahead.
We check equipment, review safety procedures, refresh our RNLI‑aligned training and make sure our pool environment feels calm and welcoming for every swimmer.
Behind every lesson is thoughtful planning designed to support different learning styles, build confidence and keep children safe — whether they’re swimming indoors with us or heading out to beaches and lidos this summer.

Beach days are one of the best parts of summer — and knowing how to stay safe makes them even better.
Before heading into the sea, take a moment to:
• Check the beach flags and understand what they mean
• Swim between the red and yellow flags where lifeguards patrol
• Avoid areas with strong currents or rip tides
• Keep children within arm’s reach near the shoreline
• Stay aware of changing weather and tide times
With a few simple checks, families can enjoy the beach with confidence and peace of mind.

Happy World Oceans Day!
Our oceans are incredible places to explore, especially during the summer months — but they also deserve our respect. Open water can change quickly, with tides, currents and cold temperatures catching swimmers off guard.
Choosing lifeguarded beaches, staying within designated swim zones and understanding local conditions are simple steps that help families enjoy the sea safely.
Let’s celebrate our oceans by exploring them with confidence, care and awareness.

Sun safety is especially important around water — whether you’re at the beach, a lido or an outdoor pool. Water reflects sunlight, which means UV exposure can be stronger than it feels.
To keep little swimmers safe this summer, remember:
• Apply sunscreen 20 minutes before swimming
• Reapply after every dip
• Use rash vests or UV‑protective swimwear
• Take regular shade breaks
• Keep everyone hydrated
With a few simple habits, families can enjoy long, sunny days by the water safely and comfortably.
