Wildwood Golf & Country Club

Dear Members and Guests

It is with regret that I must inform you that the club will be closed for the immediate future due to the fact that we are unable to supply a well maintained course and cannot provide a suitable service in the club house. We are hoping that this is a temporary measure as the current owner, Mr Simcha Green, has suggested that he intends to sell the business. He recognises that the course and clubhouse need to be in fine condition to facilitate the sale and has promised to supply the necessary funding to enable us to bring the course up to the appropriate standard.

Should the funds be forthcoming, we will be able to improve the conditions of the course in a matter of days and would then re-open, striving to provide the best service we can with the scant resources that we have and I am optimistic that this will be sooner than later.

Members are still welcome to play on the course, but I must advise that it has not been maintained for several weeks and the condition is deteriorating quickly due to the fine weather we are currently experiencing.

To keep the estate secure, we are locking the gates on the drive In the early evening, however access to the clubhouse can be arranged to retrieve personal belongings. Should you wish to do so, please contact me and I will make arrangements for your access.

We all hope that this is a brief hiatus, and I for one have remained at the club through these challenging times not only out of loyalty to the members but because I still feel that Wildwood will have a wonderful future. I believe this sentiment is shared by my colleagues that have remained at the club throughout.

I will endeavour to keep all of you abreast of any developments and would welcome any correspondence should you wish to stay in touch.

Please could all members check in the club house before going out to play.

Any guests or visitors to the club must come in prior to play to pay their green fees.

Green keepers are busy get the course cut ready for the Easter Weekend, we look forward to seeing you.

It was a chilly start for the Wildwood Vets on their annual Turkey Trot and Christmas Lunch! Good luck to all those taking part.

Wildwood Golf Club's Christmas Party night on the 10th December starring the beautiful and talented Julie Stardust in Cabaret as well as dancing and DJ, so food aplenty and great music, there are still a few seats available at £40.00 per person

The festive season is creeping upon us at great speed. Are you looking for somewhere to hold your works Xmas do? Wildwood has a few dates left for bookings in December. For more information on booking a party night at Wildwood then get in touch.

We also have a few places left for our own Christmas party night on Saturday December 10th, which we extend to smaller party bookings. The nights are always great fun with a 4 course meal and a night of music for £40pp. If you would like to join us then let us know. But hurry as availability is limited!
