Subsea7 today announced the award of a sizeable(1) contract by Brunei Shell Petroleum (BSP). The contract covers the subsea installation for a Pipeline Replacement Project, offshore Brunei.

Subsea7's scope of work includes EPCI of subsea pipeline and riser systems for offshore assets, in water depths up to 50 metres.

David Bertin, Senior Vice President for Subsea7 Global Projects Centre East, said: "This award represents an important milestone in our relationship with BSP that began in 2018. We look forward to continuing our collaboration and working closely with BSP to deliver the project safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards."

We are proud to have safely installed the second and final Øst F***g Pipeline Bundle in the Yggdrasil area, marking another major milestone for Aker BP ASA and the Subsea Alliance.

The 6.5-kilometre West Pipeline Bundle was launched from our Wester site in Scotland and towed 390 kilometres across the North Sea before reaching its final destination. With this installation, all four Pipeline Bundles for the Yggdrasil development have now been delivered from Wester and safely installed offshore.

This achievement reflects the dedication, expertise and collaboration of everyone involved - from engineering and fabrication to marine operations and installation.

Through the expertise and commitment of our teams, we continue to contribute to one of the largest ongoing developments on the Norwegian Continental Shelf, supporting Aker BP in bringing Øst F***g and Yggdrasil closer to production.

A big thank you to our project teams, vessel crews, partners and everyone across the Subsea Alliance who helped make this possible.

Subsea7 teamed up with the FIFA World Cup 2026 Houston Host Committee to take part in a city-wide initiative that brings together art, soccer/football, and community impact.

The Art of Soccer paired Houston-area businesses with local artists to decorate 36-inch balls, which were displayed around the city. All funds raised through the campaign will go directly towards the FIFA World Cup 2026 Houston Host Committee's legacy programs, which include creating youth programs and playing fields across the city.

We're proud to support our community in Houston and celebrate the creativity and culture that made our city shine during this summer's tournament.

Delivering subsea infrastructure at this scale requires exceptional teamwork, offshore expertise and precise ex*****on.

We are proud to see the strong progress being made on Yggdrasil, one of Norway's largest ongoing energy developments, through our long-standing partnership in the Subsea Alliance with Aker BP ASA.

This year's offshore campaign is a testament to the dedication of our offshore crews, project teams and marine specialists. At peak activity, seven Subsea7 vessels worked simultaneously across the field, installing critical subsea infrastructure that will help bring Yggdrasil to life.

With more than half of the 2026 offshore season completed and delivery progressing according to plan, we look forward to continuing the safe and efficient ex*****on of this complex development together with our partners.

Congratulations to everyone involved offshore and onshore.

Subsea7, in collaboration with REPSOL Sinopec Brasil, ExxonMobil Brasil and Petrobras, has unveiled a full-scale prototype of the Gimbal Joint Riser (GJR) — an innovative offshore technology with long term durability, while potentially reducing prospect costs.

Now advancing to its second development phase, the project has entered full-scale experimental validation, demonstrating the feasibility of a simplified subsea architecture that reduces installation complexity, material use and associated carbon footprint.

The GJR concept introduces a multi-articulated joint in rigid risers, enabling efficient application in ultra-deepwater environments without the need for large buoyancy structures required by conventional systems.

This milestone reflects the strength of collaboration across our partners and supply chain, reinforcing Brazil’s position at the forefront of offshore technology innovation.

Another key delivery successfully completed for the Yggdrasil development.

With the final pipeline now installed, the subsea infrastructure connecting platforms and subsea templates across the Yggdrasil area is taking shape.

Over the past two years, close to 250 kilometres of pipelines (including pipe-in-pipe products) have been installed on the seabed. A key element of this stage of the project was executed from Subsea7's spoolbase at Vigra, where pipelines were welded and spooled before being transported offshore for installation.

This achievement reflects the dedication, expertise and collaboration of our teams, partners and vessel crews, who have delivered this major scope safely, with quality and according to plan.

Watch this Aker BP ASA video to see a pipe-in-pipe pipeline being spooled from Vigra onto Seven Vega, one of the many vessels supporting the delivery of Yggdrasil's subsea infrastructure.

Congratulations to everyone involved in making this achievement possible.
