Subsea7 teamed up with the FIFA World Cup 2026 Houston Host Committee to take part in a city-wide initiative that brings together art, soccer/football, and community impact.
The Art of Soccer paired Houston-area businesses with local artists to decorate 36-inch balls, which were displayed around the city. All funds raised through the campaign will go directly towards the FIFA World Cup 2026 Houston Host Committee's legacy programs, which include creating youth programs and playing fields across the city.
We're proud to support our community in Houston and celebrate the creativity and culture that made our city shine during this summer's tournament.

Subsea7, in collaboration with REPSOL Sinopec Brasil, ExxonMobil Brasil and Petrobras, has unveiled a full-scale prototype of the Gimbal Joint Riser (GJR) — an innovative offshore technology with long term durability, while potentially reducing prospect costs.
Now advancing to its second development phase, the project has entered full-scale experimental validation, demonstrating the feasibility of a simplified subsea architecture that reduces installation complexity, material use and associated carbon footprint.
The GJR concept introduces a multi-articulated joint in rigid risers, enabling efficient application in ultra-deepwater environments without the need for large buoyancy structures required by conventional systems.
This milestone reflects the strength of collaboration across our partners and supply chain, reinforcing Brazil’s position at the forefront of offshore technology innovation.
