The recent improvement in weather has meant I was able to turn Mancha & my 19 year old retired homebred Finesse out yesterday on to a fresh rested field to enjoy the sunshine, a bit of grass & a lack of mud which was a lovely feeling!

The better weather got me thinking about possible upcoming holidays! If you are fairly local to SA34 & looking for care of your horses for any trips away please drop me a message to check my availability.

The better weather the last two days has prompted me to spend some time enjoying working my horses after the weeks of endless rain!. Yesterday was Leo & Fires turn & then today Mancha & Lilly. Leo who is now a rising two year old c**t was just beginning to learn some ground work . Lilly was excellent been a few weeks for her & we picked up where we left off. After a lunge & long rein I had a lean over her, finishing with a little sit on her & walk forward. Mancha has been hacking mostly recently with friends & has been getting braver at being on her own. Mancha pictured solo hacking home, something she has only managed a few times. Old piccies of Leo, last summer at Hartpury doing some in hand showing where he was a good boy & also had his first bath. Also lovely pictures taken by Tanja Davis at the futurity the previous year, very proud moment of us receiving his Gold Premium!

Took these two boys out together for arena hire yesterday & they were both great. Loaded perfectly both ways & stood quietly on the lorry on their own. Fire is just returning to work from a couple of months break & this was his first time back out. He was relaxed, willing & fun to ride. Only Diablo's 2nd arena hire (first one two weeks ago). As he was on his first trip out he was confident & relaxed & this time we progressed to using the whole school & some trot under saddle as well as practising his canter on the lunge. Looking forward to more trips out for these two!
