Leucarum Centurions touch rugby

Another great round of Touch for Leucarum Touch, with the club fielding both a men’s and women’s team, while other players represented different clubs as part of supporting their preparation for the upcoming euros.

The were outstanding, securing a win against in the group stages and battling hard in some tough contests with the to reach the Plate Final. They narrowly missed out on the silverware against in what was another excellent performance from the squad. This young talented team is on the up!

The men continue to impress. With a near-complete squad refresh due to several players being away, it was fantastic to see some returning faces and opportunities for our younger players to step up. After a slow start against the boys then found their rhythm, securing two wins to reach yet another semi-final. In a game that went right down to the wire, they were just edged out by in a brilliant contest.

🏉 This weekend we head to the final TouchFest of 2026, this time with both our men’s and women’s squads in action.

The men’s squad looks quite different from Round 1, which is a real testament to the depth we’ve developed for tournament touch footy this season.

We’re proud to have released , and Chris to Welsh representative squads training at the event, good luck to all of them! Stepping into the squad are .b2607 , Ben B and with Rhys, Morgan, Ben and Emyr all making their senior squad debuts at this level.

The group brings together a blend of current and former age-grade, open and masters internationals, while non-capped players such as add genuine rugby skill sets to the squad.

After reaching the semi-finals in Round 1, the men will be looking to match or better that performance this weekend. Likewise, our mixed squad set a high standard in the opening competition, and the goal remains to keep pushing those performances forward across the club.

Our Valkyries squad remains a strong and settled playing group, with their full write-up to follow….After an excellent start in Round 1, we’re excited to see how they can continue to build momentum this weekend.

Another great day for Leucarum Touch, this time in a mixed touch version of the game 🏉

The again had some great battles with local team and the eventual winners 👏

The team again put in a big performance against the well-established mixed team to secure a semi-final place finish.

The , Masters and Emerging combined to take on the social league. It was a great opportunity to get much-needed game time for the youngsters. After going undefeated in the group stages and semi-final against the coyotes and , they worked incredibly hard to come back and secure a draw in the final.

With more time than originally planned in the competition, the team also had the great experience of a drop-off, only just getting pipped to the post. A brilliant learning experience for many of the youngsters in the group and a great day overall, and our first final of the season. Great work going undefeated all day 👏👏

We return to the Ospreys League on Wednesday night with all four teams back in action 🔥

The Leucarum mixed touch teams are in!

Our competitive squad brings a great mix of experience and pace, with being our only remaining player from our very first mixed squad back in late 2021 👏

The social league squad features players returning from injury, coming back after a winter in other sports, returning from travels, and plenty of new faces stepping up into senior touch for the first time from the emerging blues 🙌

Exciting to see how our it all comes together this season! 🔥

These squads may change over the season and even before tap today 😂, but kicking things off with 60+ players signed up to go is something special.

It’s a friendly start for the Centurions and Masters, while the and Emerging sides jump straight into league action 💪

Great to hear about continuing to encourage its clubs to grow the game the right way by developing our very own referees 🙌

With some players nearing the end of their playing days, it’s brilliant to see new player referees slowly coming through. But with our numbers growing and more teams entering events, we’ll always need more people to join the team.

Another huge day for Leucarum Touch! 🙌

We haven’t fielded a women’s team in the senior Wales Touch Association competitions since Pendine Sands in 2023. From a scratch side brought together from across South Wales, the have grown into something special, with Sarah G the sole remaining original player. It was fantastic to see 14 players celebrate promotion from the Championship to the Premiership of Welsh Touch. The team secured their first win, competed strongly against established opposition, and despite several absences gained real confidence ahead of further Women’s Open rounds this summer.

The men were equally impressive, with six debuts at this level, including a father-and-son duo. After a tough opener against the , we regrouped to sneak past a well organised Phantoms to reach the semi-finals. Gower Dragons Touch Rugby narrowly edged a classic encounter, and with the Coyote Touch Cardiff struggling with injuries, the 3rd/4th play-off was rightly shared, securing an excellent third-place finish.

A brilliant day for the club and an exciting sign of what’s to come. 💙

The masters are announced as our 4th and final team at the 2026 Ospreys in the Community touch league. They smashed the Wales Touch Association over 40s Masters comp in Cardiff arms back in November and peaked by the end of the over 30s event in Pontypridd but this is a great chance to build a group of over 35/40 plus players who want to train and play socially. Big plans ahead with a tour due for next season but mean while why not head down to the 1st formal masters mid week training -
