A few of our lads who will soon be moving up to U14s have been taking part in parkrun to keep their fitness levels up ahead of the new season.

They’re regularly beating their previous times and setting new PBs, always striving for the next one!

It would be great to see more of the team getting involved. If possible, please encourage your child to join a local parkrun. It’s a fantastic way to build fitness, confidence, and team spirit during the off season.

To our U13 lads a massive well done to each and every one of you! Your hard work, determination, and teamwork are qualities you’ve all shown both on and off the pitch this season. Watching you grow together as a team and now prepare to head into U14 rugby is something we are all incredibly excited about.

The new season ahead will bring new challenges, but with the fantastic support from your coaches and parents, we know each of you will continue to thrive and develop.

To all the parents thank you! Through fog, rain, hail, sunshine, muddy pitches, muddy kits, and muddy boots, your support never goes unnoticed. Without your commitment and encouragement, our boys wouldn’t be able to enjoy and play the sport they love, so thank you for everything you do.

The 2026/2027 season will be here before we know it, and we can’t wait to see you all continue to excel in the game you enjoy so much.

Enjoy the rest boys and parents let’s come back stronger, sharper, and better than ever.

Big things are coming 🏉

Massive well done to Jacob, Darrell, Junior & Corey for your awards so very well deserved. 👏🏽

If anyone could donate please do.

Over the last 7 days, an incredible group of RWBRFC senior players have completed the “7 in 7” challenge: running seven half marathons in seven consecutive days in support of teammate Jamie Davison following his Ewing Sarcoma diagnosis earlier this year.

Yesterday’s final run finished at our Sausage & Cider Festival, bringing an emotional end to a week that perfectly showed what this rugby club is all about.

What these boys achieved goes far beyond the miles they covered. Every early morning, every sore leg and every step taken was for one of their own. The support shown throughout the week - from teammates, families, friends, supporters and the wider rugby community - has been nothing short of incredible.

This challenge has been a reminder that rugby clubs are about far more than what happens on the pitch. They’re about friendship, loyalty, support and standing shoulder to shoulder when it matters most.

We could not be prouder of every single person involved in “7 in 7”, and we thank everybody who donated, shared posts, joined runs or supported from afar. You have all played a part in something truly special.

Once Bassett, always Bassett 🖤🤍🖤🤍

We want to say a truly heartfelt thank you to all of our sponsors for your incredible support throughout the 2025/2026 season.

What you’ve given goes far beyond sponsorship. Because of you, our children step onto the pitch feeling proud, united, and part of something special. Seeing them look like a team on match days and in training is something that means more than words can fully express.

You haven’t just supported a club, you’ve supported memories, confidence, friendships, and moments these children will carry with them for years to come.

From our coaches, our parents, and most importantly our players thank you. We are genuinely so grateful, and it has been an absolute privilege to work with you. We truly hope this journey continues together.

So this weekend saw the U13s finish a seriously improved and hard fought season!

The weekend started on Friday when the group rolled into an amazing campsite that the team called home for the weekend!

Parents integrated and made the weekend a special memory for the boys!

Saturday saw a great session on the beach with some drills and a few light fitness routines before fun games with parents against kids in kick rounders.

We then took the boys to Weston Hornets (in fancy dress where we may add coaches and parents included) where we enjoyed a fun packed local derby which was a great afternoon out for the Team.

We then had a great get together as a team with the boys and parents all getting together around the campfire and with the BBQs roaring where we also played a few games as entertainment.

We then rolled into Sunday morning where the clean up began. And preparations for our final game of the season against Weston Super Mare RFC.

The boys were focused and looked great in funky colours.
We started the game of really well and took the lead fairly quick. But then the game went toe to toe with Weston hitting back hard a quick with a response.

But everyone of the boys dug deep and emptied the tank time and time again with out the coaches having to ask for more from them!

The team morale and spirit was high and was great to see the hardwork paying off!

Weston finally hit us when they found a small gap in the line and hit us with a last touch of the game try!

We ended the game:

Weston Super Mare RFC 25

Supermarine 20

A massive thank you to all of our parents for their continued support in rain, winds, sun and snow! The players and as always our amazing sponsors who without them none of this would have been possible.

Also thank you to Weston Supermare RFC for hosting us. Was a great game and was made to feel extremely welcome from the moment we arrived.

And a final shout-out to all our coaches in our U13s, Chris Champion, Matt Woolley, Tom Hinchcliffe, Dan Benfield, Ben Seymour, Rich Harvey and Mark Fulcher as well as the wives of the coaches, allowing them to be absent without leave at home to help coach such an amazing bunch of lads that are not only becoming a great TEAM to coach but also young men that we are all so very proud of!

💙
