🎯 Creating Opportunities. Building Pathways. Supporting Local Talent 🎯

When we both first started our coaching journey, and later opened the Greater Manchester Community Darts Hub, one of our biggest goals was always to create genuine opportunities and pathways for talented young players in our local area.

Seeing that starting to happen is something we’re incredibly proud of especially today!

We’ve been able to offer coaching opportunities to Kian, who has been absolutely remarkable so far and continues to show huge commitment to his development and continues to be a key part of the county side.

Amani and Alex have become familiar faces at the hub, playing in pretty much every one of our weekly competitions, practising regularly and constantly looking for ways to improve their game. Today, both of them took another huge step, making their county debuts and both coming away with wins, a brilliant achievement and thoroughly deserved.

Amelia, our very first academy player to go on and represent the county, showed exactly what can happen when young players are given an environment where they can develop, compete and believe in themselves.

Then there are players like Kasey, who grabbed her opportunity at our trial competition and impressed. That opportunity helped lead to her earning a place in the county team, where she also won on her debut, a perfect example of why creating these pathways matters and big things to come for her!

And these are just a few examples.

For us, it’s about creating the right environment, giving young players opportunities and making sure there is a pathway there for those who are prepared to work for it.

We’re incredibly proud to play a small part in their journeys and hopefully this is only the beginning. ❤️❤️

Thomas Cowan took home the event 3 title this week!

A weekly win had felt inevitable for Thomas after recent performances and this weeks win puts him top of the season standings so far. It was another great night at the hub, always a brilliant atmosphere.

🧠🎯 Another Fantastic Mindset 180 Session last night!

We had another brilliant evening last night at our weekly men’s mental health group, Mindset 180, which meets every Tuesday at 7pm at our Community Hub.

A huge thank you to Pete Day, who joined us to share his incredibly powerful story, speaking openly about his battles with addiction, the challenges he has faced and the journey that has brought him to where he is today.

It was a really honest and thought-provoking talk, and we’re grateful to Pete for giving up his time and speaking so openly with the group ahead of the release of his upcoming book.

We were also very lucky to be treated by our amazing sponsors at Darjeeling Indian Walkden who provided everyone with free kebabs for the evening! 🌯👏

The food was absolutely brilliant and went down incredibly well with the lads. Darjeeling have been fantastic supporters of what we are trying to build, and gestures like this make such a difference. If you’re looking for great food locally, we’d definitely recommend paying them a visit.

Mindset 180 is about creating a place where men can come together, throw some darts, have a chat and, most importantly, feel comfortable talking about whatever they might be going through.

There’s no pressure, no judgement and no expectation to share. Sometimes it’s just about getting out of the house, being around good people and knowing there’s somewhere you can go every week.

We’re really proud of the community that is starting to grow around the group and we want to continue making it bigger, stronger and accessible to any man who might benefit from something like this.

🎯 JOIN GREATER MANCHESTER DARTS ACADEMY! 🎯

Things are really moving at the academy on a Monday night and we’ve got lots planned over the coming months for our young players!

It’s been brilliant to see how much everyone is developing, not just with their darts, but with their confidence, focus, match play and understanding of the game too.

Our younger group is now nearing capacity, so spaces are becoming limited:

🎯 Under 13s Group: 6:00pm - 7:30pm
🎯 13s-18s Group: 7:30pm - 9:00pm

We’re especially looking to give our older group a big push and would love to welcome more players who want to improve their game, meet other young players and be part of a growing academy. We've got a great pathway into Competitions and playing County Youth with coaching from 3 different pdpa qualified coaches.

Whether you're already playing competitively or simply want to take your darts more seriously, our sessions include:

✅ PDPA Qualified Coaching
✅ Technical and match-play development
✅ Scoring, finishing and practice routines
✅ Confidence and mindset work
✅ Competitions, challenges and development opportunities
✅ A friendly, supportive environment

And it’s all just £20 per month with sessions every Monday!

🤝🎯 BUILDING PARTNERSHIPS IN SALFORD 🎯🤝

Today we had the pleasure of meeting with the team from Salford City FC Foundation at the AIG Stadium.

It was a really positive meeting, giving us the opportunity to discuss and begin planning some exciting future events and initiatives, while also looking at how Greater Manchester Darts Coaching and Salford City FC Foundation can work together moving forward.

For us, it’s about more than just individual events. We want to build strong, lasting relationships with organisations across Salford that share our passion for creating opportunities, bringing communities together and making a positive impact.

There are some really exciting ideas being discussed, and we’re looking forward to seeing where this relationship can go in the future.

Big plans are coming to Salford. 👀🎯⚽
