Tonight Joey brought his well deserved medal into the club to show all his mates in the kids class well done Joey 🥊🥊🥇

On the road again today down in Farnham with our youngest school boy boxer Joey. This was joeys first competitive bout and our first competitive schools bout as a club!

Joey started very well and used his slick boxing skills and footwork to keep off a very tough and aggressive opponent.

Joey dominated all 3 rounds and forced a standing count to earn a well deserved unanimous win. Joey has only just turned 11 and has a very bright future in the sport.

Much more important than the wins and medals is the team that we are building bit by bit and the team respect and rapport the boxers have for their coaches and the work that we do. Tonight the squad of boxers who went to portugal blew us away with a lovely thankyou surprise. Over the last 18 months plus we have built up an amazing coaching team and squad of boxers who make Taunton ABC what it is, one big family 💛🖤💛🖤💛🖤 up the TABC 🥊🥊

As our first full season as a club comes to an end it’s time to reflect on some of the achievements for the club:

4 box cup sliver
2 box cup bronze
2 international box cups attended
2 WC titles
1 WC senior elite belt winner
1 national silver - BUCS
1 national bronze
1 England pathway boxer
2 home shows

All this was achieved in only our first full season as a club! As the new season begins we are looking forward to our young squad of boxers moving on from school to junior, junior to youth and youth to senior to hopefully add to our achievements.

All the above couldn’t have been achieved without the hard work of all our dedicated coaches, volunteers, boxers and sponsors who supported us so much last season. From all at Taunton abc we would like to thank you for your outstanding support!

This has been more than just a boxing tournament, this has been an experience the boxers will never forget. As a club we are so proud of all 8 of our boxers who have competed over the last two days they have represented the club with honour and pride 💪

Today we go into finals day with 5 boxers all ready to go in there and do their best and that’s all we can ask 🥊 go out there and do your thing 💪

CJ - 2/1 split loss. CJ boxed his heart out today in his first ever box cup mixing it up with the best boxers in Europe in his category. He narrowly missed out on a split decision that we all felt he’d done enough to win, but that’s boxing, we’re very proud of you CJ 🥊🥊
