Gym closed tonight for all sessions due to extreme heat in there, will push out another update tomorrow regarding tomorrows classes, sorry for the inconvenience but safety of members must come first 🥊🥊

‼️Just a reminder to all our members‼️

The gym will be shut after Thursday’s session for a short break after a very busy season. This is to give chance for all our boxers, coaches and volunteers to have a well deserved rest and recharge the batteries!!

The gym will reopen on Monday the 31st of August for business as usual. We have a very busy start to our season, just how we like it!!

We have big things planned for the 26/27 season ahead and can’t wait to get started.

🥊 Riviera Box Cup – Weekend Round-Up 🥊

What a weekend! Two long, busy days at the Riviera Box Cup, with five of our boxers gaining valuable experience and putting everything they’ve been working on into practice. 💪🥊

Today was finals day and first up we had CJ, who came up against a more experienced boxer from Lympstone. CJ’s fitness wasn’t quite where it needed to be today, but that’s what these experiences are all about. He’ll learn from it, go back to the gym and come back stronger. He comes away with silver 🥈👊

Next up was Jaden, facing another experienced lad from The Ring Boxing Club. Jaden boxed brilliantly, listening to instructions, landing some lovely clean shots and showing slick movement throughout. A fantastic performance and GOLD MEDAL 🥇 — well deserved!

Last up was Keegan, who was involved in a real toe-to-toe battle against a local lad. He left absolutely everything in the ring in a very close contest. It could have gone either way, but Keegan brings home the silver medal🥈 after a brilliant effort showing he belongs at this level 🥊

Daryl unfortunately didn’t get to box today in the finals after winning in the semis yesterday against a good lad from Finchley, he sustained a fractured hand in yesterdays bout that meant he had to withdraw. Daryl brings back the silver🥈

A huge well done to all five of our boxers who competed this weekend. Every bout brings more experience, more lessons and more confidence. We’re incredibly proud of the effort, determination and attitude shown by everyone. ❤️🥊

That’s a wrap for box cups this summer which has been an extremely busy 10 week period for the club competing in two international box cups in Portugal and the Riviera this weekend.

It’s been a busy weekend for Taunton Amateur Boxing Club!

Yesterday in the semi-finals, Artur unfortunately lost a very close split decision, while Daryl secured a great unanimous decision win. Sadly, Daryl has had to withdraw from today’s final after fracturing his hand in yesterday’s bout. Wishing him a speedy recovery! 💪

Spectator info for anyone wanting to come to watch the Riviera Box Cup 🥊

** SPECTATORS INFORMATION **

When you arrive avoid the main reception area.
The entrance to the box cup are the doors underneath the pink & white advertising banner shown in the photos.

• There are no pre-sale tickets for spectators, entry is cash only and door entry is £25 on Saturday and £30 on Sunday, Under 13s entry is £15 each day.

• Venue address is Torbay Leisure Centre, TQ4
5JR

• Doors open to spectators at 11:30am on Saturday and 11:15am on Sunday - Please do not arrive too early, attempts to access the venue before this time will result in delays to the weigh-in and will disrupt the start time for everyone.

• Boxing is scheduled to start by 1pm on Saturday and 12pm on Sunday

• There are no livestreams, any you see advertised on social media are scams.
