🎾☀️ Lots of fun was had last Sunday at Elms for the Barclays Big Tennis Weekend! ☀️🎾

The courts were full, families were out enjoying the sunshine, and it was fantastic to see so many people taking to the grass courts and giving tennis a go!

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and made it such a great day. We loved seeing players of all ages out on court enjoying the game.

We look forward to seeing you on the court again soon! 🎾

An outstanding performance from the U10 Somerset boys this weekend, wins vs Cornwall, Devon, Channel Islands and an epic nail-biting shootout win vs Avon to take 1st place!🥇💪🏼Unbelievable composure when the pressure was on!

A real team effort and they deserved the win! Well done boys 👏🏼🤩🎾

A brilliant day of grass court tennis at the Play Your Way To Wimbledon event held at Elms today and the rain even stayed away! 🎾☀️

The Men’s Doubles saw 16 entries and some super close matches throughout the day. Congratulations to Elms duo Marcus and Tim on finishing as runners-up, with Wells pair Sean & Matthew taking the title after a cracking final! 👏

Well done to Scott & Ian, James & Bob, David & Ben, James & Karuna and Daniel stepping in on the day to partner up with Edward! 🙌🏼

The Boys’ U14 event was incredibly close, with all players competing in 4 matches each. With 3 players tied on 3 wins, it came right down to the wire! Huge congratulations to Henry for finishing runner-up and James for taking the win! 🏆

A big well done also to Laurence, Ryan and Alex for their brilliant efforts! 👏🏼

A special mention to all of the juniors who smiled throughout, win or lose, the sportsmanship on display was fantastic and made for such a lovely day of tennis.

Good luck to everyone progressing to the County/Area Finals! 🎾 One step closer to Wimbledon! 🍓
