I still remember him as a young boy — full of energy and a handful at times 😜. Now he’s 18 and heading off to join the Navy.

It’s moments like this that remind me why I do this as a career. Watching these youngsters grow from small children into competent, capable adults is a privilege.

Through all the sweat, tears, frustration, patience, and sparring rounds, I hope Keifer takes the skills and mindset from our classes into his Navy training.

The best part? He leaves us forever a black belt. Not everyone can say that. The grit and determination it takes to get here isn’t something everyone has — and I’m so proud to have had him as part of the club.

Good luck with the next step, Keifer. I can’t wait to hear how you get on. Welcome to the club.

I’ll be honest — Saturday got me. 🖤🥋

Some of our younger seniors graded for brown and black belt.

Kids I’ve had since they were 4 and 7 years old.
To see them now — young adults, composed, capable — and know they’ll carry that black belt for the rest of their lives… that means everything.

This is what martial arts does. Proud doesn’t cover it.
Congratulations to every single one of you. 👊

Nobody starts advanced. Everyone starts at the beginning.
That’s not a flaw in the process — it IS the process.

Stop waiting until you “know enough.” Come as you are.

You’ve got about 8–10 weeks until summer.

That’s enough time to:
→ Drop body fat
→ Build real fitness
→ Actually feel good taking your top off again

Or… do nothing and wish you started earlier.

This isn’t a “fitness class.”
It’s proper kickboxing. Pads. Rounds. Work.

No experience. No pressure. Just progress.

STOP WAITING FOR “THE RIGHT TIME” ⛔️

Summer isn’t when people *start*…
It’s when you see who already did.

Right now there are kids lacking confidence.
Teens glued to screens.
Adults saying “I’ll start soon.”

Or…

There’s YOU — deciding this is the moment things change.

Starting martial arts can feel intimidating — but it doesn’t need to be.

Most people worry they’re too unfit, too old, or that everyone else will be better than them. The truth is, everyone starts as a beginner.

A good martial arts class is supportive, welcoming, and designed to help you improve step by step. You’re not expected to know anything when you start.

The hardest part is simply walking through the door for the first time.

If you’ve been thinking about starting… this is your sign. 🥊
