Iโve had many others taken that I think resemble
him but these 5 were taken from that shoot.
The ones being compared were taken from different years so there is only so much that can be done but think the 1st one is the best
I also get told I look like him more in person then I do from any photos ๐

This has got to be the most used pain point
In fitness that Iโve heard.

Losing weight and keeping the weight off
can also be one of the hardest things to keep to.
I might call myself fortunate that ever since I
Invested in my personal training course in 2010
Iโve never had a problem fitting into clothes that
I was wearing.
Mind you Iโve looked after my body, trained
consistently and also watched my nutrition and
Curbed drinking too. I have made sacrifices to
look good and feel good.
This photoshoot was taken in Mid December 2019 by
the very talented Shiba Marjolein Huizer.

Shiba had been a client of Zen Training in May 2019
And when initially meeting me, to my amusement
She said I bore a striking resemblance to the actor โHugh Jackmanโ.
Over the years I have also had a lot of others tell me the very same thing.
So later that year I agreed to do a photoshoot.
There are a couple of images from the
photoshoot that we then matched up with shots that
were taken of him. ๐
Iโll put those on the next post so you can see.
This is one of three photoshoots weโve done over the years and I was really pleased with the outcome.
So if anyone reading this wants to get back into their clothes they were wearing or have suits,
dresses hiding in their closet, get them out and put them somewhere you can see them and that will give you the motivation to get started.
Now Put a plan together to get back
Into that shape, or get help from a professional.
Iโve been helping hundreds and thousands of people do that very thing for the last 15 years.

Iโm just back from my holiday
In Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt.
Itโs been so nice to have some winter sun
Itโs been 24 to 28c over the last 5 days.
I Spent days by the pool reading.
Other days doing activities like snorkelling at the blue hole, a crazily fun jeep tour in the Sinai peninsula before seeing the coloured canyon, riding camels and quad biking.
Itโs been the perfect amount of time for me to reset. Going away for the first time was hard as I was using being busy as a way not to think about things and it did make me sad but I know I need to confront challenges head on.
I feel more determined than ever to crush everything in 2026. Who wants to join me ?

It seems everyone is doing it from celebrities to your everyday Tom, Dick and Harry.
I haven't yet decided if I'll do one yet. Maybe I might nearer the end of the month, maybe I won't
New year, New you ? Haha - that's a story for another post.
It's great that people set goals but maybe you are already good enough and just need to make some tweaks.
Why Jan 1st just to start thinking about changing everything up.
I'm going to be honest, the last 5 years since Covid and 2020 have been really tough for me.
I don't know if it's been a struggle for everyone else ?
Some of the things I'm proud of are I've kept my business going and also kept my fitness and health up.
Over that time ZEN have helped hundreds of people get into great shape, lose weight, build strength and maybe even save lives.
We won awards and helped Clients get some amazing results and transformations for their health, fitness and strength.
We had many social events for our Clients.
The last 4/5 years my focus hasn't always been working on myself.
I could have done a lot more in terms of building ZEN up, but maybe with what I was going through it wasn't possible as had little time for myself and development.
I put a lot of energy into helping others including Gintare when she wasn't well.
Most of the time I felt tired and in survival mode during that period.
The first pic is the kind of shape I'm in now. I put on about 7/8kgs of weight on over November and December.
This was taken the beginning of October 2024. One month after my sweetheart Gintare passed away.
Just shortly after she died I continued working and bringing new clients on board.
I increased my training from 3 x a week to 5 x a week and kept consistent with important things like hydration and sleep.
I hardly drank and didn't smoke or do any drugs ๐
I used to smoke 20 a day, but gave that up back in September 2000 after my daughter was born.
I've not smoked for 25 years now.
My diet has been pretty good on the whole.
Very little of my diet has processed food. Maybe the odd pizza and odd takeaway here and there over the last year and a half
The last pic was taken in 2025 and was the kind of shape I maintained throughout that year. I did do my own body transformation which I've not wanted to share up to now.
Finally now after 5 years I feel like I'm getting the hunger and drive back to put myself forward and go after opportunities.
I'd like to start posting more and sharing my knowledge that I've learnt over the last 15 years.
I've not really done that since 2020.
I've found it almost impossible to post anything positive on social media about what I've done, including my own body transformation and strength gains. That's also included sharing knowledge about health and fitness.
It's a bit of a long post but maybe sharing something about myself is a way back for me ๐ช

2025 was a pretty good year at ZEN.
We organised many events including our annual Summer Barbecue at our Club and held races
for our members which included Tough Mudder and the Denbies Wine Run. As well as that we organised meet up drinks for the ZEN regulars.
Something we look forward every year is our annual Christmas Party which we held back in early December.
This was our 12th Christmas Party in a row including when we had an online one back in 2020 because of Covid restrictions.
The ZEN Christmas Party was a great event and a culmination of all the hard work and effort of our Clients through the year.
Jon Ross-Reed won our Small Group Client of the year and Fergal Walker won our Bootcamp Client of the year. Jon's results for the year were immense, having lost 21kgs or 46lbs in weight, losing 9% body fat and 52 inches off the body.
He is wearing the same clothes in his 50s now that he used to wear in his 20s.
He managed to reverse all his negative health markers too, and also doesn't have any aches and pains in the body anymore.
Fergal has been an amazing Client at ZEN over the years since he joined us back in 2022 and has managed to get the lightest he has been in decades having originally lost 15lbs in his first 6 weeks after joining ZEN.
also has maintained an impressive fitness and strength level all year round.
