The newly formed Saints headed away this evening for their second game of the season, facing a tough trip to Herbranston in wet and very windy conditions. 🌧️💨

Despite the challenging weather, the boys put in a fantastic performance and came away with a well-deserved 2–0 victory and a clean sheet. 👏

Another opportunity for the lads to build on their opening game, gain valuable experience and continue growing together as a new squad.

⚽️ FULL-TIME | LETTERSTON AFC 4–6 ST FLORENCE AFC

What a game! 🔥 The Saints came away with a fantastic 6–4 victory away to Letterston AFC in a thrilling, goal-filled contest.

Letterston opened the scoring in the 5th minute, but the Saints responded brilliantly. Rudi Thomas levelled the game in the 10th minute before putting St Florence ahead in the 20th minute, with M Price providing the assist.

The second half was action-packed! Rhys Hughes extended the Saints’ lead in the 50th minute, assisted by M Paxton, before Jake Allen added another in the 60th minute.

Rhys Hughes then found the net again in the 65th minute, completing his hat-trick with his third goal of the game in the 75th minute, once again assisted by M Paxton. 🙌⚽️

Letterston fought back with goals in the 70th, 75th and 83rd minutes, but the Saints had already done the damage, securing an impressive 6–4 victory. 🖤💛

The Saints were slow out of the blocks in the opening 30 minutes and found themselves 3–0 down after conceding three quick goals.

But rather than let their heads drop, the Reserves forced their way back into the game, showing fantastic character and determination to pull three goals back and level the score! 💪

What a way to kick off the 2026/27 season! 🔥⚽️

The Saints got off to a flying start with a convincing 4–0 victory over Carew AFC Reserves at Fiddlers Lane.

From the first whistle, the Saints looked sharp and dangerous, with Rudi Thomas terrorising the Carew defence and Jake Allen causing problems throughout. The pair were a constant threat and combined brilliantly for the second goal before Allen calmly converted from the spot.

Rudi then got his reward late on, finishing off a fantastic performance with the fourth goal, assisted by Jake. 👏🔥

At the other end, Rhys Hughes put in a top-class performance between the sticks, making sure the Saints came away with a deserved clean sheet. 🧤💪

A fantastic team performance, four goals, a clean sheet and the perfect start to the new campaign.

Thanks to an incredible number of returning players, exciting new signings and talented youngsters coming through, we’re proud to announce that St Florence AFC will be fielding TWO senior teams this season! 🙌🏻

🏆 1st Team – Promoted to Division 3 after a fantastic campaign.
⚽ 2nd Team – Ready to begin their journey in Division 5, giving more players the opportunity to develop, compete and represent the club.

Tonight is the first chance to see both squads in action as the 1st Team take on the 2nd Team in our pre-season friendly.
