Boys went down to Mackay 31 - 26 in their final game of the CQ championship.
They had chances in the final few minutes to steal the game but just couldn’t get over the line. Congrats to Mackay Rugby Union for a great contest.

This is a late post but in the 3rd week of January the Fraser Coast Mariners played the Bundaberg Barbarians for the third/fourth playoff - Spring Cup Championships.
The Mariners comfortably beat the Barbarians 27-10 to walk away Bronze medal winners.
Here's to a great season.
We now await the announcement of the Wide Bay team to the Central Queensland Championships in May.

Today one of our Island Breeze Rugby Plus sons Rupeni Baravilala heads to France 🇫🇷 for a playing contract with Top 14 side, Vannes.
Rupeni is an all rounder athlete having successfully completed his High School at the prestigious Toowoomba Grammar School, ending the year as School captain and also captain of the first XV.
He plays lock and alternates as a loose forward as well. Rupeni has played age group representative rugby for the Queensland Reds and this French opportunity will definitely grow his game.
He joins his elder brother and Junior Flying Fijians flyhalf Iliesa Baravilala, who plies his trade with Vannes as well.
Both boys are sons of Island Breeze Australia Director Waqa Baravilala.
We wish Rupeni all the very best.
