On 29th July we gathered on a sunny Wednesday evening to come together to enjoy each others company and some friendly competition for a round of ⚽️ golf ⛳️with a difference. Obviously being walking football ladies our social would involve a football ⚽️ wouldn’t it 🙄We competed around the 9 hole course. We were guided around by our lovely guide Paul who was shocked at how competitive us ladies were. 🫣There were a lot of shouting out of numbers, I think some of us were out to sabotage each other. The fact that I came only 4th tells you 🤪. Coach J was our videographer for the day and on hand to give us coaching advice as usual 😚. We shouted out each others numbers along the green but never remembered our own 😱. We were on a parr in terms of our abilities and lost out on small margins. We were joined by the lovely Belle. Thank you Anna for our snacks at the end.
Results were in and in
3rd place was Gwyn with 48, Anna came in 2nd with 46 and Isha with a fantastic 41. All scores were up there with the best of the week. Fun day was had by all and we will defo be back. Next time we’ll do the 18!!

30 degrees of heat for match day 4 of the Herts Walking Football League at Cheshunt and a huge challenge ahead for North London United arriving with depleted numbers and looking to increase their points tally in this Premier League. First game against a very strong and well organised Luton Orange ended 0-1 to Luton with a barrage of heavy shots brilliantly stopped by England’s No 1 Anna in the North London goal. Some encouragement and technical advice from coach Jay in the break and back on the pitch to face league champions Chesham. An outstanding performance in this game by the whole team with Sarah holding the middle, Aisha and Martina showing determined and skilful forward play and Ingrid and Hannah providing well timed link up play as well as solid cover at the back. This game also finished 0-1 against NL due to a very contentious, hastily taken free kick. Disappointing for the blues but we went again into another end to end game against Leyton Orient which we were unlucky to lose to a single goal coming from a break down in play. Very hot and tired now but still with heads held high we went into our final game against Cheshunt which proved just too much for us, going down 0-2 despite a great showing from Gwen, subbing in the middle to relieve Sarah, and some more incredible shot-stopping from Anna. Hard to come away without a point after showing such heart and with so much individual skill and effort on display but we must keep believing, we are newly promoted to this top tier and are proving hard to handle for some of these well established teams.
Thanks Coach Jay for your tireless patience, energy and belief, we appreciate you.
The results will come. In the meantime we continue to work and battle side by side. With pride. North London (United) forever 🫶🏾

Match report
Sunday 19th April 2026
Herts league

First game against Cheshunt Eagles, both teams started well and we were playing good football but Cheshunt broke away, scoring the opening goal 1-0. Both teams were giving away silly fouls with Cheshunt conceding a penalty which Terri scored with a super left sided shot into the back of the net 👏 1-1 , a draw would have given us a point but they broke and was able to get a shot in and score. That’s how the game ended 2-1 to them.
Our second game which could have gone our way was against Luton Town Oranges however Luton managed to score with confusion… rather a messy goal . Finally score 1-0.
Against Southend Greens It seemed we were back to how we play, but today was a day when our front three found it hard to find the back of the net, they managed shots on target, and Wendy had a pop!!! Our wide players saw a lot of the ball and were stopped continuously trying to take it further. Our defenders played well today, so well done. Only goal by Southend decided the game.
Leyton Orient was our penultimate game and it was a good game, they found space and utilised it, NLU tried hard to shut them down but they too managed a goal. They played a 1-1-3 giving the top 3 plenty of the ball and for them it paid off.
Our final game was against Chesham Utd, who were able to get some attempts on goal but despite some good defensive work they were able to score the winning goal.
Well done to you all today. We go again next month. ⚽️⚽️

First outing for North London in the Herts Premiership on Sunday 15th March following our promotion last season ⭐️

A challenging day as we adjust to the new opposition and higher demands of the top flight. We suffered narrow defeats by Luton Orange, Cheshunt and our old rivals Southend Greens, but showed marked improvement in the later stages of the tournament, managing a draw with Leyton Orient. Our final opponent, Chesham proved too much for us with some very good shooting against a fatigued North London.

When we play together we play well and there were some bright spots with some great reactive saves from Anna and some well worked moves to give Terri some chances at the other end. Determined midfield play by Isha, Martina and Heather holding strong at the back along with Gwen and a defensive debut from Hannah.

Much to think about and work on as we go forward, but we must believe that we belong in this league and we can continue to improve and enjoy playing together.

Thanks to coach Jay for showing up for us, putting up with us, and screaming ‘reset’ at us until blue in the face! We are grateful for your support. The process has started and the only way is up!

Thank you to 💜
