A tough result for the lads, with Rhymney Rovers FC falling to a 9–0 defeat against a very strong Blackwood Town.

The lads battled hard and with 40 minutes gone the score was still 0-0.
Not the result we wanted, but there were plenty of positives to take from the game. We will regroup and come back stronger. 💪🖤💛

With our cup game tomorrow being called off we now have a friendly against Tranch AFC reserves. It will be a great run out for the boys as we look to get more valuable minutes under our belts.

A tough afternoon in our first ever league match, but full credit to Fleur de Lys, who showed why they're such a strong side. They played some excellent football and deserved the result.

While the scoreline wasn't what we wanted, there were plenty of positives for us to take away. As a brand-new team, this was an important learning experience, and we'll use it to grow stronger together.
