Eastwood Hanley FC U16 Blue are ready for their first match of the season as we travel away to face Madeley White Star FC U16.

After all the training we had throughout the pre-season the team is fully prepared and ready to put all the hard work from training into action. The players have worked consistently to improve their fitness, sharpness, teamwork and understanding on the pitch, ensuring we are ready to compete at the standard expected.

The first game of a new season is always an exciting opportunity. We know we face a tough away fixture, but the team will go into the match with confidence, determination and a positive mindset.

Now it’s time to put the preparation into practice, compete for every ball, work for one another. Let’s start the season strongly 🔵🟡🛡️⚽️

📢 FUNDRAISER FOR OUR TEAM – YOUR SUPPORT NEEDED!
We are running a fun fundraising card draw to help raise much, needed funds for new team kits and essential equipment for the upcoming season.

Here’s how it works:

• There are 40 numbered teams available on the card

• Entry is £5 per team

• Once all spots are filled:
✅ The person who picks the winning team will receive £100
✅ Our football team will receive the remaining £100 to put directly towards the kit and equipment costs.
We are really keen to get our kits ordered and the right gear for the players, but we are struggling to cover these costs on our own – every single entry makes a huge difference and helps keep our team running for the kids.

What a blast our end-of-season ceremony was! It was such a brilliant day filled with joy, laughter, and great spirit , everyone truly enjoyed themselves.
A huge thank you to all who turned up and a massive thank you to every player and parent who took part in the match. I am over the moon with how the team has done this season, every single player has improved massively and it’s been a pleasure to watch you grow.
Huge congratulations to every player who went home with a trophy, they are well earned and a perfect reward for all the hard work, commitment and effort you each have put in all season long.
We are already looking ahead and can’t wait, we will be back next season even better, stronger and more determined than ever.
To any players moving on to new teams or focusing on different careers. I wish you all the very best of luck on your journeys you will be missed and you will always be part of our football family.

Hi parents, just wanted to take a moment to say how proud I am of everyone this season. From the very first game until now, I personally have seen so much progression across the whole team and that’s something every single player should be proud of.
One of the biggest positives this season has been the development of every individual. Everyone has worked hard to improve on their weaknesses, whether that’s confidence, fitness, communication, positioning, decision making, or even overall consistency. The effort the lads have put in during training and matches has really shown and it’s been great to watch players grow in both ability and mindset throughout the season.
Another massive positive is how well we came together as a team, especially with new players joining throughout the year. Bringing in new players can sometimes take time to adjust, but everyone welcomed each other well and we still managed to build a strong chemistry on and off the pitch. No matter what team we played, we always competed together, supported each other, and played as a team every single match.
There were definitely challenges along the way, but the attitude and commitment from the squad never changed. Every game we showed determination, resilience, and togetherness, and that’s something that can’t always be measured by results alone. The team spirit this season has been brilliant, and it’s clear how much potential this group has moving forward.
I will be looking to move the team to division 4 next season as we need a challenge for every player to progress.
Thank you to everyone for the hard work, effort, and commitment throughout the season. It’s been a pleasure being part of this team, and I’m excited to see how much more we can achieve together in the future. Well done boys and thank you for your massive support parents.

Hi Parents…
Thank you all for the fantastic support you showed the lads earlier today. It really means a lot to the team.
A huge well done to the whole team after today’s excellent 14–2 win.
The effort, teamwork, attitude, and energy shown by every single player were exceptional. The passing and movement throughout the game were excellent, and every player worked hard for one another. It was great to see so much confidence, determination, and positivity across the pitch.
We could have easily avoided the 2 goals they scored which came from the silly mistakes that we caused, but we learn from them as a team so we avoid doing them same silly mistakes in the future.
Every player played an important part and should be very proud of their contribution to such a strong team performance.
Well done again to everyone, a brilliant performance and a result the whole team should be extremely proud of.

Hi parents thank you for your massive support that you showed the lads earlier.
I just wanted to send a massive well done to the whole team after today’s 8-0 win.
The scoreline was brilliant but the way the team played from start to finish was very impressive.
The effort, teamwork, attitude, and energy from every single player was outstanding. The passing and movement were very excellent, every player worked hard for each other and it was great to see the confidence and determination throughout the game.
What made the much even better was seeing how much the players enjoyed themselves while still staying focused and working hard. There were some excellent goals, great defending, and really positive communication all over the pitch. Every player played their part and should be proud of their contribution to such a strong team performance.
Well done again everyone a brilliant performance and a result the whole team should be very proud of.
