Our Scholarship Auditions are coming up this November, and if you’re a talented and passionate young dancer looking to learn, grow and challenge yourself, we’d love to welcome you to one of our very special audition days!

It’s a wonderful opportunity to take class with an industry-leading guest teacher, experience the kind of training you can expect on our Residential Course, and have your dancing seen by a panel of industry professionals and leaders.

Most importantly, our auditions offer you the opportunity to be considered for a scholarship place on our Summer 2027 Residential Course — joining an inspiring community of young dancers for an unforgettable summer of training, opportunity and growth.

We’re so excited to announce the first of our special guest artists for our Masterclass Day at the Royal Ballet on 25 October!

We’re delighted to welcome Anna Rose O’Sullivan, Principal Dancer with The Royal Ballet, who will be joining us to work with both our younger and older dancers throughout the day. ✨

With her incredible artistry, experience, and versatility across both classical and contemporary repertoire, we can’t wait for our students to have the opportunity to learn from Anna Rose and experience her approach to training and performance.

What an incredible summer it has been! 🩰

Over the past four weeks, we’ve welcomed an amazing group of young dancers into the YBS community, filling our studios with energy, ambition, creativity, and a whole lot of passion for dance.

From classical ballet and repertoire to contemporary, conditioning, choreography, and performance, our students have embraced every opportunity to learn, challenge themselves, and grow.

But the YBS Summer Residential is about so much more than what happens in the studio. It’s about friendships, teamwork, confidence, independence, and creating memories that will last long after the final class.

A huge thank you to our incredible faculty, pastoral team, pianists, staff, and everyone who helped make these four weeks so special.

And, most importantly, thank you to all of our students for bringing your enthusiasm, commitment, and individuality to YBS. Watching you grow throughout the summer has been a privilege.

That's why every Back to Ballet Masterclass includes a dedicated Sports Psychology session, designed to help dancers build confidence, improve focus, manage performance nerves, and develop the mindset needed to thrive throughout the academic year.

Whether you're preparing for auditions, performances, or simply returning to the studio after the summer break, this session will give you practical tools to support both your training and your wellbeing.

✨ A huge thank you to Claire Calvert and Alexander Campbell! ✨

Today, our students had the privilege of learning from two exceptional artists in a pair of inspiring masterclasses.

Alexander led our boys’ masterclass, focusing on the foundations of male technique before putting those skills into practice through dynamic combinations and classical repertoire.

Meanwhile, Claire worked with our female students on excerpts from the iconic Swan Lake, sharing her artistry and insight to help bring this timeless ballet to life.

We’re incredibly grateful to both Claire and Alexander for sharing their knowledge, experience, and passion with our students. It was a truly inspiring day in the studio, and one that will stay with our dancers for years to come.

✨ Faculty Announcement | London Back to Ballet Masterclass ✨

We're delighted to announce that Sarah Lamb, Principal of The Royal Ballet, will be joining us to teach at our London Back to Ballet Masterclass.

This is a fantastic opportunity to learn from one of the world's most celebrated and experienced ballerinas as you prepare for the new academic year with expert coaching and inspiration.

Due to an unforeseen scheduling conflict, Anna-Rose O'Sullivan is unfortunately no longer able to join us and we're incredibly grateful to Sarah for leading this special day.

We look forward to welcoming everyone for an inspiring day of ballet technique, repertoire, body conditioning, and sports psychology.
