Midnight. £11:50 on the gate.

Middles*x Ladies take on Berkshire this afternoon at the Club.
This morning’s volunteers under head chef Karen have done the first stages of prep and enjoying a quick beverage before the hordes of ladies arrive.
Marie did some prep last night as well.

The Club needs more volunteers , for a one-off occasion or more regular jobs - meeting and greeting, setting up tables, collecting glasses to be washed, wiping tables, checking changing rooms are tidy. There are always jobs that the committees need assistance with too!

Anyway, raise a glass to today’s and future volunteers! Cheers!

Bowls England have had a change of mind regarding ticket allocations for competitors at Leamington this year.

At 22.04 this evening Jon Cockcroft issued this email

Following our communication on Friday 24th July regarding tickets for the National Bowls Finals, as you are aware, players have been provided with tickets for every day of the competition for which they have qualified. We’d like to encourage players to stay and support the rest of the competition when they are knocked out, but unfortunately allocated player tickets are being passed on to non-players, who would have otherwise bought tickets.
Having listened to feedback over the past few days, we appreciate that the timing of this communication was not right, and on reflection, we do not wish to penalise players who intend to use the tickets for their own purpose. Therefore, we will continue to provide 2026 competitors with tickets for the duration of their competition as in previous years.
We appreciate your understanding and support in helping ensure complimentary County Association and player National Bowls Finals tickets are used as intended. We will review this matter after the event.

Tomorrow brings a rare twist in the schedule at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games as Team England face a triple test against Australia with three separate matches across the day.

The action begins at 12.45, where Katherine Rednall meets Australian opposition in the Women’s Singles on Rink 1. At the same time on Rink 2, our Para Men’s Pairs duo Kieran Rollings and Joe Peplow also face Australia.

At 15.00, Jamie Walker and Nick Brett continue their Men’s Pairs group stage with a meeting against Botswana on Rink 4.

Rounding off the day at 17.50, Michelle White and Helen Wood return to Rink 1 for their Para Women’s Pairs match, once again against Australian opponents.
