Has been a fantastic two weekends for the Strength Powerlifters. The British University Championships was a first national competition for most! Starting off with the men, in the U93’s we had Richard Rorack and Thomas Sibley, unfortunately Tom dropped out after feeling sick.

Richard finished with a 127.5kg squat, 90kg bench and a 155kg deadlift, a 372.5kg. Massive all time PB’s so was great to do it on a national stage.
Next we have Louis, being his first national competition and as a 120 managed 4th overall. 247.5kg squat, 140kg bench and a 285kg deadlift, 672.5kg total. Big performance on a national stage.

Now onto the women, Katie and Talvin both first timers who competed in the U52’s.
Katie finished with a 62.5kg squat, 37.5kg bench and a 80kg deadlift, 180kg total at her first ever competition!
Talvin finished with a 60kg squat, 45kg bench and a 87.5kg deadlift, 192.5kg total. Great showing by both ladies!
Then we have Luisa, this is her second BUCS and she did not disappoint putting up her best performance yet in the 57’s! 97.5kg squat, 50kg bench and a juicy 125kg deadlift finishing with a 272.5kg total, lots more to come!

We unfortunately didn’t have a full squad this year due to the age bracket or injury. However, regardless of that our lifters put together a solid performance, St Marys Strength is proud of you! 🔵⚪️
