Are you wanting to join yoga? But don't ever seem to find the time? maybe you feel guilty because you need to use the time wisely?
As in do the house work? Make time for others? Shopping? Or Maybe you struggle with the guilt of spending on yourself because actually committing to a class each week is a chunk out of your earnings?
These are all familiar barriers
Well we have a class perfect for you. This class will run every Tuesday morning were we will guide you through poses to release tension in your body, guide you to be kind to yourself and feed the confidence and drive rather than the guilt and shame.
And it is a class that we only ask for you to contribute what you feel you can offer that week.
Taking this hour out for yourself will gain clarity so you will probably get more done out of your week than when you are bombarded with thoughts lists and emotions.

Class starts at 10am and will be finished by no later than 11am.

She sat at the back and they said she was shy,
She led from the front and they hated her pride,
They asked her advice and then questioned her guidance,
They branded her loud, then were shocked by her silence,
When she shared no ambition they said it was sad,
So she told them her dreams and they said she was mad,
They told her they'd listen, then covered their ears,
And gave her a hug while they laughed at her fears,
And she listened to all of it thinking she should,
Be the girl they told her to be best as she could,
But one day she asked what was best for herself,
Instead of trying to please everyone else,
So she walked to the forest and stood with the trees,
She heard the wind whisper and dance with the leaves,
She spoke to the willow, the elm and the pine,
And she told them what she'd been told time after time,
She told them she felt she was never enough,
She was either too little or far far too much,
Too loud or too quiet, too fierce or too weak,
Too wise or too foolish, too bold or too meek,
Then she found a small clearing surrounded by firs,
And she stopped...and she heard what the trees said to her,
And she sat there for hours not wanting to leave,
For the forest said nothing, it just let her breathe.

Today is Diwali!
Also called Dipawali, this is India's biggest and most important holiday of the year. The festival gets its name from the row of clay lamps that celebrants light outside their homes to symbolize the inner light that protects from spiritual darkness.

Hindu people interpret the Diwali story based upon where they live. But there's one common theme no matter where people celebrate: the victory of good over evil. The five days of Diwali are marked by prayer, feasts, fireworks, family gatherings, and charitable giving. For some, Diwali is also the beginning of a new year.

Lovely group this afternoon Yoga & relaxation class.
Ahimsa - Non violence to one self or another, mentally, physically or verbally.
'Loving and respecting all creation' ππ»
We brought Ahimsa into our Yoga practice today...
We connected & 'listened' to our bodies through our practice.....
Checking in with how our body feels throughout the practice...
Have we pushed it too far into the pose/asana???
Are we being kind to our body?
What sensations can we feel in each pose?
Yoga should NEVER hurt....
We thought about bringing into our practice the balance of 'effort' & 'ease' in each pose.
Therefore keeping our body, mind and spirit 'safe' and causing 'non violence' - Ahimsa to ourselves.

VINYASSA FLOW
This class will be one to get the blood flowing and body pumping to make the most out of your week. Moving with intention and focus, it's like a movement meditation.
(reccomened a slight background of yoga practice)
*Wednesday morning 9.30
HATHA YOGA
Great for Beginners yoga. This will be a practice where we will focus on the anatomy of poses while slowly transitioning from one pose to the other. Also great to get back to basics
Gentle breathwork and mindfulness.
*Wednesday afternoon 1.15 (2hours)
BREATHE (at st Andrew's hall)
A four week workshop funded by "our happy hub" it is a free workshop aimed to show how yoga can be used to reduce or maintain stress and anxiety.
Great for anyone who struggles with their mental health and would like to try something different.
Open to anyone with all abilities
*Wednesday evening 8pm
YIN/RESTORATIVE YOGA
A slow Restorative class using the power of yin. This class is a great way to really stretch out the body in places we dont usually focus on in a physical practice which is the connective tissues, those smaller muscles that attach our kentic chain of the body, allowing us more flexibility in our joints.
It will release tensions, physically and mentally.
A class to reflect and let go.
Perfect for that midweek hump day
*Friday evening 6.30pm
MEDITATION
A class for you to release the working week and let go. May include Slow movements, mantras and a long mediation. Perfect way to walk into your weekend feeling calm and present.
*Sunday morning 9.30
COMMUNITY YOGA (at st Andrew's hall)
This class will be set on a week to week basis.
So always check on the week that it is on before joining.
It's is a donation based class so open to those who are holding back due to financial reasons. This class I would reccomend for those who have not done yoga and would like the opportunity to give it a go. And also those who do practice yoga but would like to be a part of a community of like minded people.

'Equinox - Latin for equal balance, the day & night are perfectly equal.
Inhaling 'smiles'......
Exhaling 'letting go' of what no longer serves us..
Gentle yoga asana to balance left & right sides of our bodies...
'Nadi Shodhana' - alternative nostril breathing to help balance the left & right hemispheres of the brain..
Relaxing to the beautiful musical sounds of the harp...
The scents of calming Ylang Ylang filled the room.. ππ»
