There is no one 'right' way to participate in yoga. It's about feeling supported and empowered 🌿😊

Our nervous system is constantly taking in information from the body and our surroundings 🌿

We can tell ourselves “I’m safe”, but the body also needs cues of safety. The vagus nerve plays an important role in the communication between body and brain, including the systems involved in rest and recovery.

Gentle movement, steady breathing and a sense of connection may provide signals that support this settling response.

Supporting the nervous system isn’t only about what we think — it’s also about the messages our body receives. 🌿

The vagus nerve is a major communication pathway between the brain and many parts of the body. 🧠🌿

Around 80% of the signals travelling along the vagus nerve are thought to travel from the body towards the brain. This is one reason it can be useful to include the body when we’re feeling stressed, overwhelmed or out of balance.

Movement, breathing and mindful practices may help support the body’s natural relaxation response and our sense of wellbeing.

Supporting the nervous system isn´t only about what we think - its also about the messages our body recieves ✨

Supporting the nervous system through movement, breath & connection ✨🍀😊.

We can begin to gently unlock tension and settle the mind and body, bringing in more ease and balance.

One pose can have many possibilities. And so can yoga 🌿.

Over the last few weeks, I've shared some of the different ways that the same yoga poses can be adapted.

We all have different needs, and that can change daily. This is yoga that meets you where you are — and empowers you. You have choices 🌿❤️

Choice to rest or skip a pose.
Choice to adapt or move differently.
Choice to listen to your body, and participate in a way that supports you.

This is a child's pose. There are many ways to experience the benefits of this pose.

We all have different bodies, abilities, energy levels and needs — and those needs can change from day to day.

Yoga can meet you where you are. No comparisons. No pressure. No expectation to make your body fit a pose.

Just your practice, your way 🌿❤️

Yoga doesn’t have to look one particular way.

The same movement can be adapted to suit different bodies, abilities, energy levels and needs — whether that means using a chair, a wall, props, a smaller range of movement or simply taking a rest.

There is no “right” version.
There is no need to push through.

This is what accessible yoga means to me - creating space for you to move in a way that feels safe, supportive and helpful.

🌿 Real bodies.
🌿 Real needs.
🌿 Real choice.
