Id really like to get your feedback on possible venues or ideas you may like to try. Float only match, one rod one hook, things like that. I'd really like to up the participation of the shore comps for next year, so its down to you. Cheers Pete.

Unfortunately tomorrow’s boat comp will be cancelled due to the now poor forecast.

The juniors fished today in amazing weather bit fresh but calm sea and some good sun clear water what more could you ask for . Aahh wait fish would of been nice but they must of been hiding with 6 juniors fishing a total of 10 fish wher caught

Lillie-rose 6 shannys
George 3 shannys
Nate 1 shanny

Unfortunately due to only shannys being caught me and Ben made decisions to role the Craig Butler voucher over till December comp . All juniors fished with C Weights today thanks to Craig Thorne

This Saturday 25th is November junior comp we will be fishing Victoria pier from 1-4 please dress for the weather .
As an added bonus butler has sponsored a voucher to be used at the Tackle Box this will go to the winner of the heaviest fish on the day . Ben don’t forget your scales

By unanimous votes, the shore match is cancelled, stay safe , see you on the next one.

Looks like my latest post disappeared. The next shore match may or may not be possible tomorrow because the weather will be atrocious. Do you want to fish it and rough it out or cancel. Please let me know ASAP. Many thanks pete

Good eves. The shore match this Saturday night may or may not go ahead. Atrocious weather looking like it's going to make things very uncomfortable, even a bit dangerous. Would you all feel better if it was cancelled or would you want to tough it out. If you can make your feelings noted ASAP then a decision can be made. Thanks pete.

Morning folks. While sitting in the dentists waiting room I suddenly had a thought. Limit mackerel to just 4 for obvious reasons. They don't do well when returned. 4 would give you enough fresh bait if you need it for an evening match. Take what you need for personal consumption or use but first 4 count in the match. Cheers.

Hi, shore angler s. We have our next comp this coming Saturday evening 28th October. Im changing the scoring for the remaining matches and hopefully you'll find it useful. Firstly, the 18cm minimum size will remain. Scoring will now be. First fish of any species will score 10. The next 2 of the same species will score 5. The 4th of the same species will score 10. There after if you continue to catch the same species, they will score 1point. Basically if all you can catch are pout all night, you'll score with every fish,if they make the size minimum of 18cm, you will score. Apply this to each species caught and it could make for an interesting night. Hope it all makes sense. Just as a side note, the weather is not looking promising or safe to fish this weekend, I'll keep you updated. Cheers Pete.

Good eves all. At the recent committee meeting, it was decided to pass over the " shore secretary ", job to myself. I'll be in discussion with other members of club to work out a way forward. Yesterday's junior comp saw 4 members come down and fish the new wall , they all caught at least 1 small conger each with louie and jj also getting pout.. wasn't the easiest of fishing with plenty of w**d floating about and the crabs activities...
Winner of the night was louie with 2 congers and 3 pout... jj next with 1 conger and a pout.. good friends jack and George scored exactly the same length of conger with Jack catching his 10 mins before the end after catching about 10 crabs...
Great time enjoyed by all and thanks for coming along.

Unfortunately the decision has been made to cancel the first day of the annual Five go fishing open boat competition this Saturday. However we do plan to go ahead as normal on Sunday for a one day event.

So our next junior match is Saturday coming the 19th . Fishing from 7pm till 10pm. We will be fishing on the new wall - the one that goes towards Charmouth.. Will be some night fishing involved so please bring a light if you have one. Kind regards ben
