ORE Racing is about designing, developing and manufacturing RC Cars

GT12 is our main focus however

Operating as usual

11/05/2020

The design and 3D printing elves have been very busy over the last few weeks making new parts. When we can go racing again we're going to have a lot of testing to do!

01/05/2020

We hope you are all keeping busy with your RC's. Whilst we can't race we're using this as an excellent chance to get some development time in on new parts and ideas.

Who can guess what these are for?

ORE on Tour BRCA F1 Clubmans 2019 R1 Stafford A Final Leg 1 14/04/19 16/04/2019

Here are my videos of the BRCA F1 Clubmans 2019 R1 @ Stafford A Final legs 1 and 2.

A very cold weekend starting with scraping frost off the car windscreen on Saturday morning. Saturday practice saw Lee at the top end of the qualifying times working on race pace. Sunday was more of the same form heading up 3rd in all qualifying rounds. After the finals Lee left round 1 tied on points for 3rd place in the championship, the same great start seen from last year's clubmans.

Roll on round 2 @ Adur!

Diff drive side assembly removed on a screwdriver and stored for cleaning so the parts are kept in order and not lost

New season, new spur gear. Last year I began using the Xenon spur gears for their quality and design however I picked the wrong size after realising the XRAY X1'18 has little movement on the motor slots compared to what is designed into the ORE GT12 pods. This season I am changing from a 64P - 96T spur gear to a 64P - 88T spur gear so I will be in the range of ratios I require for all tracks at the clubmans from Stafford to Cotswold

3x sets of rear stickered up

Sticker stuck down, not perfect but wasn't a struggle to fit compared to removing the whole sticker from the sheet

Photos from ORE Racing's post 10/04/2019

Peel the backing sheet back around half to three quarters and crease sharply so the backing sheet is as flat as possible, this will allow the sticker to be centralised on the tyre without any distortion or accidental adhesion, when aligned gently press the sticker in a few spaces so it adheres to the tyre and so the backing sheet can be fully removed gently. Evenly and gently press the sticker down, trying to avoid bunching the sticker up into any lumps

To fit F1 tyre stickers I remove the centre from the decal sheet first
