Thank you to everyone who helped make our Christmas Do a success.

A great afternoon of games, Children’s DJ, Race Night, Chippy Van and football.

We hope everyone who attended had a great time. Thank you for your kind donations and generosity with the events.

Obviously these things can not just ‘happen’. They take a lot of organising and effort.

Big thanks to Jennifer Shaw and Sarah Victoria Sopa for their involvement from the beginning. It couldn’t have been done without you. Plus the individual team helpers - you all know who you are. And of course the face of the club Sean Maddock.

Merry Christmas to one and all. We hope to see everyone back in January ready to go again.

Christmas Party & Race Night - Sunday 17th December.

As well as having a DJ for the children and a Tombola plus other activities, we have our first attempt at a Race Night. On the day you can choose a horse and place a bet by coming to the tellers at the front of the stage. Then cross your fingers while we watch the race on a projector screen, and you could win some money if your horse is victorious!

8 races. Lots of chances.

We also have some exciting additional games to play.

One of them is the Tri-cast - see images. A bit like a football card. Put your name against the horses you think will be 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in RACE NUMBER 1 of the night.

Pay £1.00 per go to the club and comment below. We will add your name accordingly. So for example if you think it will be…

1st. Horse Number 1 ‘Lost Again’
2nd. Horse Number 4 ‘Hot Dog’
3rd Horse Number 8 ‘Monty’

…then pick 1-4-8

All the horse’s names for race 1 in the image above.

Winner receives half the collected funds. These cards are going round various places this week and will fill up quickly.

You can also Sponsor a race! £10 per sponsor. When the race is called out and when the winner is named at the end, your business name will be called as well.

Please get in touch via this page if interested!

Congratulations to our U16s who progressed through to the Quarter Final of the Lancashire Cup at the weekend.

Heavily reduced numbers due to injury and absence essentially left the team with a bare XI. Compounded further by a kit clash that meant they had to play in borrowed Tangerine (🤢) and a difficult pitch half way to Scotland.

The hospitality of our opponents from Slyne with Hest was fantastic. Big thanks to them. Coffee in a mug on the touchline. 😀

This was their second consecutive long trip in the competition and they’ve been rewarded with another trek to Manchester in the quarter final. They’re certainly doing it the hard way.

Best of luck to the team, Ross and Rob. Doing the club proud!

Training initially 5-6pm on Wednesdays at Christ The King High School.

The Year 1s will look to form next season’s U7s and the Year 2s will look to form U8s depending on numbers.

Please share.

All our teams were in action this weekend and all impeccably observed the moment of reflection and silence on Remembrance Day and Remembrance Sunday.

The younger children showed some wonderful knowledge about why this was happening as many were experiencing this for the first time.

On the competitive front, U12s made it 10 wins out of 10 to top the table with 30 points. What an incredible start for Tony and the team.

U16s may have just about thawed out from a cold and wet - but very competitive - game against Brinscall, who are always great opponents. A 3-1 win sees them very much in the title race.

All U7-U11s team played across various venues. Loads of goals, saves, tackles and endeavour on display across all ages.

Well done to everyone!

Matches have been a bit sporadic of late with the weather.

U16s have made it through to the last 16 of the Lancashire County Cup. A trek to Manchester saw them take on a side from Wythenshawe. A penalty shoot-out victory seeing them through after an end to end game.

U12s still have a 100% record. Their march to the title continues although they’ll take nothing for granted until it’s sealed.

All non-competitive age groups have continued to play games where possible and enjoy some fantastic performances.

We are looking to form a new U9 team to run alongside our existing one.

This is for children currently in Year 4.

Training on Wednesdays at WLD high but
may change in due course.

U9s - Easipay Carpets

Another local company we are delighted to have on board at the club. Our U9s look very sharp in their new kit - with a twist on the blue and white hooped theme.

About out sponsors. Well in their own words...

Our Mission As A Company
Happiness starts in the home, and with times becoming more and more financially difficult for millions across the UK, Easipay Carpets decided to make it easier for people in the UK to decorate their home and create a warm and inviting environment without making an already tough climate for money even worse.

We set up our Pay Weekly Carpets plans, which evolved into Pay Weekly Laminate and Pay Weekly Vinyl too. Our homes are important, and by decorating them in a way that suits our personalities we feel more at home, more relaxed which then promotes better states of mind and mental health. Our mission is to ensure that everyone can access new flooring without adding to their money worries and stresses.

We provide high quality flooring that is competitively priced, but where we differ is that we let you pay off the full cost over time instead, completely interest free. We’ve already helped thousands of people and we’d love to help even more!

We’d like to thank the garage for their commitment to the club and generosity with their sponsorship. And also for the patience shown while the kit was being created.

A framed photo of the teams will be on its way in due course.

The weather managed to affect a lot of fixtures this weekend sadly but some did take place.

Our U7s put on a great display of passing and finishing at Bamber Bridge Leisure Centre on the 3G. Plenty of goals across both teams.

Our U9s got their game on before the worst of the weather too in a very close game with plenty of determined work and no shortage of quality on display.

One of our U10s teams managed a game and showed their continued progress on the pitch with continued improvement evident across the board.

The U12s continues their 100% record with another goal laden victory. A closer game than the final score would suggest with their opponents putting up a great fight. The team currently sit top of the league!

U16s secured another great victory in tricky conditions. A very good Croston team came up to CTK and every type of weather bar snow arrived in ten minute intervals. But the lads battled through with some high quality football making light of the conditions. Well done on a 4-2 win.

Well done to all our teams last weekend.

Our U7 and U8 played at the same time on adjacent pitches down at Penwortham. Two fantastic performances from back to front made it a very enjoyable day at the always brilliantly organised CV venue. Sean Maddock patrolled both touchlines alongside his assistants which we’re sure was a joy for the league committee. 🤣

U9 were playing down at Higher Walton Primary in another fantastic contest with end to end football. The score line only shifted late towards the end of the match.

Both U10s played on Sunday with hard work and endeavour the order of the day. Our Greens never gave up with many tired legs doing the club proud in an always competitive game against Ribbleton. The Purple team also competed superbly with some great goals.

U11s Reds very much had a game of two halves with a much improved second half giving them optimism going forward.

The blues made the long afternoon trek to Tarleton and again had a much improved second half to show for their efforts.

The U12s played the ‘Walton Derby’ (if there is such a thing) with a short trip down London Road. They put on a powerful display to maintain a 100% record with a 7-0 win. Talk of a title push will be gathering momentum.

Our U16s had a blank matchday but put the time to good use with a great fitness training session.

This weekend doesn’t look to promising with the 🌧️. But we’ll see if there’s anything report.

Good luck to all.

Well the 2023/24 season is underway!

Over the last 2 weekends our U7s and U8s have been playing at Penwortham Holme (CV) and Bamber Bridge Leisure Centre. Two games in and they are beginning to find their feet. Plenty of goals at both ends which you would expect to see at this age!

U9s have taken well to life playing home and away fixtures away from the central venue of the last two years. A great team doing very well with John and Harry at the helm.

We have two U10s teams this year who have both fared well so far for Sean and Mick. Lots of spirited efforts, great goals and some fantastic passing on display.

Both our U11 teams have been adjusting to 9v9 football games, bigger footballs and offsides! A lot to get used to. As they prepare to enter competitive football next year they will be continuing to develop and improve. Hysen and Jamie's U11 Reds, and Stu and Ste's U11 Blues have just got going with games this season and we look forward to seeing their progress.

U12 are in competitive action so we are allowed to report on their results! And what a start they've had. Tony (Tip) and Garry have led the team to two wins out of two. 7-3 and 9-0 victories have the team flying. Could we be on a title charge?

Another team eyeing up silverware are U16s. Having narrowly missed out on the Premier League title last season, they are unbeaten in two games so far. An excellent 5-3 win yesterday showed the team's resilience, bouncing back from conceding a equaliser from the penalty spot with the last kick in midweek for a 3-3 draw.

Sponsorship opportunities!

As we gear up for the new season we are looking for local sponsors who fancy having their signage on boardings at our three fantastic playing venues in Preston and South Ribble.

There is a limited number available and will be used by the side of the goals (where lots of the action takes place), along the parent sections or as part of manager technical areas.

Lots of eyes every week will be on the boardings and will feature on regular Facebook posts as we play games.

If interested, please message the club page or comment below and we will be in touch with more details.
