Ragwort = Biodiversity Powerhouse. From a bee-spider fight to beetles and cinnabar moth caterpillars.
They get a bad rep as they can be poisonous to life stock but turns out only when cut into hay as animals know not to eat it in the field.
It’s a delight to see ragwort coming back, I will try to include it into meadows.
Do you have any in your garden or local park? Observe the life it attracts.

From pond dipping and a mini moth survey with to secondhand clothes & jewellery sale and getting your nails done with … come and join us for a day of urban nature & community at my garden.

Write to the EU, the hunting lobbies and the governments of France, Portugal, Spain, Italy, Cyprus, Austria, …. especially if you are a resident or citizen. Europe has lost 70% of the iconic turtle dove since the 90s (the UK even 98%) and their gentle turr turr is soon a distant memory. If not you, who else is going to stand up for them?

6 years sober today and grateful as ever. Also a bit fed up with our society, and too many people waiting for others to fix what’s wrong in the world. If you are healthy and financially able, get off your butt and be of value to the world around you. It’s worth it and yes, you are needed and you can make a difference.

Our 3rd big Secondhand Clothes Sale was a huge success with record numbers all around: 170 people came to buy fab stuff at good prices, shopped more sustainably and helped us raise a staggering £5000 that will go towards our biodiversity projects at local state schools. So proud of the team and all the amazing helpers 🥰
