URFC is saddened to learn of the sudden passing of Paul Kavanagh.

Paul was know to lots at the club as an occasional player, parent watching his girls pick up the game he loved and also as a friend to many. Mostly though Kav is remembered fondly as our Strength & Conditioning coach putting players through their paces in his unique style which demanded and received maximum effort.

Liked and loved by many we send our love and condolences to all who knew him but in particular to Francesca, and his family as they come to terms with this tragedy.

Please note the following details on Paul's Funeral.

Paul's funeral will take place at 10.30am on Saturday 7th November at South Essex Crematorium, Upminster.

There will then be a gathering at The Royal British Legion in Hornchurch.

There will be no flowers, if you wish to donate, our chosen veterans charity details will follow.

Please note that all remaining funds from the GoFund me page set up will also be donated to this charity.

A HARD FOUGHT BATTLE 💛💙🏉

Yesterday’s clash against Mersea Island was a tough one, with the boys putting in the work from start to finish! 💪

The one and only man to cross the line for Upminster was our very own Ciaran Moore, getting himself on the scoresheet AND taking home a well-deserved Man of the Match! 👏🔥

Take a bow, Ciaran! 🫡💛💙

🏆 MAN OF THE MATCH… CIARAN MOORE! 💙💛

80 minutes Moore?! 😂🏉 This week’s MOTM goes to Ciaran Moore, who put in an absolute shift from start to finish! 💪

Not content with putting in a full 80 minutes, Moore also managed to get himself on the scoresheet with a TRY! 🏉🔥

A well-deserved MOTM for a top performance 💛💙👏

🚨 SQUAD SHEET ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨

20 men making the trip to Mersea Island this weekend for Round 3 of the league! 💪🏉

Big thanks to Mersea Island for agreeing to 5 subs per team, meaning we’re taking a full squad away and ready for the battle! 👊

Two wins down… can the boys in yellow and blue keep the winning streak alive? 👀💛💙
