Sandgate Youth FC U9's Colts -2024/2025 season

To advise all our lovely folowers, Coach Bacai has decided to leave Sandgate and the U10 Colts will no longer feature as a Sandgate team until we find volunteers to take on a new team. We as the Colts Team for 23/24 & 24/25 season want to thank everyone who has been on this journey with us and we want to say thank you for all the support.

We wish all our players, the very best of health, luck and prosperity for the future. To the parents thank you for allowing us to build a team and for all your dedication.

Sandgate it has been emotional and we thank the club for the opportunity to be part of some great history.

Explorers tournament 2025. What a morning. Great tackles, saves, misses, goals, great football, some really good battling for the ball, missed penalties and finally a win. The silverware came to Sandgates history!!! The U9 colts have finally got their first tournament win and are now hungry for more. Next week we play our last games and tournament as the U9's. This year has been amazing to see their comradery develop, their football knowledge grow and there friendships blossom. We are building a great team and hopefully some life long friendships.

Today the Sandgate Colts played at the explorers tournament. What a day it was. With a last minute sickness from one of our players OB (we wish you good health and a quick recovery) leaving the team with only 1 sub per game. The boys fought hard against a good bunch of teams. Super proud of all their effort today. Well done boys.

Well done to our Coach Bacai Dos Santos who finished the season by also winning an award but not at Sandgate.

Coach Bacai won the Middlesex FA Grassroots football awards 'Coach of the Year - Male Pathway' 2025.

His hard work and dedication to the team has rubbed off and the boys and the parents, families and friends have noticed the difference he is making. So they all decided to nominate him and give him recognition for his hard work.

Well done coach, knowing you, your hard work won't stop and the expectation of the boys will only increase.

Our most decorated player this season. DO took home Players Player of the Season' and 'Parents player of the season' he also took home the 2024/25 Parents player of the Match Trophy'. Fully deserved it. Our most consistent player all season. Not a fault in his game. To be noticed by his peers and also the parents is a great achievement. But DO is all about working to be the best. Keep up the consistency and the hard work DO. Can't wait to see you play next season.

OB took home the 'Managers player of the season' this boy is the example to lead by. Listens to coach, gives it his 100% at trainings and during games. Goes home and doesn't stop practicing. One of the strongest minds of the team even though he is the smallest on the team. His size doesn't stop him. He is strong, fast, skillful and fearless. Well done OB can't wait to see you play next season

IDS took home a new trophy at this year's presentation. He was awarded the 'Hero of the season trophy'. As the coaches son, many take for granted what it entails to be that kid who shows up earlier than all, helps set up, helps pack up, has to wake up super early and leave super late. Has the coach consantly on his case even at the dinner table and the pressure to perform is overwhelming. So this season for always helping coach and being a great leader this season IDS deserved the Trophy. Keep up the hard work and never stop believing in your ability.

KK took home the 'Most improved player of the season'. KK has been really motivated to improving and has worked hard both at Sandgate but also at home. He has done so well to shred some weight and develop his footballing ability to become a better team player. This was noticed by the coach and for that he fully deserved to win this award.

Well Done KK keep up the hard work.

CDD took home the 2024/2025 Man of the Match Trophy. A true winner at heart and fights for the team. Well deserved and great work throughout the season. Can't wait to see what the future holds for you.
