Dennis has lost a HUGE 8 inches from his waist BUT…
Throughout his 30’s he managed to get to to his heaviest and he stayed their for years
❌ Putting New holes in his belt
❌ Pants and shirts 2 sizes higher
❌ Felt like he had no energy for his 2 boys
And he tried many times to lose the weight
And he would lose a little
But
It was never staying off
He would lose a little and then become complacent
We identified quickly their was two reasons for this:
👉🏻 His goal wasn’t big enough
He mentioned to me, when we first spoke, “I’d be happy at 90kg”
I knew, looking at his frame, height, muscle mass, how proud he would under 85kg
Which obviously doesn’t feel attainable or that “the weight doesn’t matter”
But I know what it would mean to him to get to a place where you are so proud and confident with your body and the journey you take to get there…
That the weight WILL NOT come back on
Second thing holding him back…
👉🏻 Eating habits & education
He was going to the gym (sporadically) and was slightly active. We just became more consistent and structured with this
It was his eating habits holding him back
❌ Eating the kids left overs
❌ Eating an entire packet of biscuits
❌ Takeaways a few times a week
❌ Snacks at work
❌ Beers to unwind
Now, I will say, it’s not a single event that was piling on the weight
You can do all the above 👆🏻
But
When you add them together across the week you can quickly see why he was gaining weight
When he became accountable for his food
When he started to plan his day
When he started to prioritise food that made him feel good
This is when the weight started dropping off and continued to drop
Until he reached a place he never thought he would
And is in a fantastic place now with his food and exercise that I’m super confident he will never be that out of shape, over weight 90kg + guy EVER AGAIN
