We’re delighted to announce our seventh (and final) Player of the Month winner of the season!
After an outstanding last month of performances, the lads voted Josh Cameron-Edwards (sponsored by REPM Training) as our May Player of the Month.👏
Josh deservedly received the award, after gaining 8 of 16 votes from the squad.
Josh was exceptional throughout May and fully deserved the overwhelming support in the voting. He bossed the midfield away at Wortley and at home to Stanningley, deservedly walking away with the MOTM in the last game of the season.
Massive congratulations to Josh who deserves this after battling for months on end to get back fit, after being ruled out at the start of the season with a broken ankle. His determination and motivation to get back into the starting 11 has reaped its rewards. 👏
The next set of awards will be announced at presentation night this Saturday at the refurbished The New Inn! Come down and join us in celebrating a great first season in a new league!

We’re delighted to announce our fifth and sixth Player of the Month winners of the season!
After two outstanding months of performances, the lads voted Luke Tantram (sponsored by Monarch Artstone) as our March Player of the Month, whilst Dom Oldham (sponsored by Wharfedale Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Ltd) took home the award for April. 👏
Both awards were won in emphatic fashion, with Luke receiving 14 out of 18 votes and Dom earning an incredible 15 out of 16 votes from the squad.
⚽ March POTM – Luke Tantram ⚽
Luke enjoyed his best month of the season by far, producing several standout moments in some huge victories for the club. His performances included a sensational hat-trick away at Colton, alongside a potential Goal of the Season contender that earned him a deserved Man of the Match award.
He also found the net in the home win against Nostell with another superb volley, proving instrumental in both victories and showing exactly why he was such a popular choice for the award.
⚽️ April POTM – Dom Oldham ⚽️
Dom was exceptional throughout April and fully deserved the overwhelming support in the voting. A rock at the back all month, he picked up two Man of the Match awards against Wortley and PE United whilst also contributing two crucial assists in massive wins over PE United and Ventus Yeadon Celtic.
Whether it was a perfectly weighted ball over the top or a brilliantly worked free-kick routine, Dom stepped up in key moments and played a huge role in some important results during the run-in.
Massive congratulations to both lads on two thoroughly deserved awards after outstanding months and excellent seasons overall. 👏
The final Player of the Month award for May will be announced towards the end of this week or early next week… 👀

Durkar 2-1 Stanningley Old Boys FC FT
Ethan Newbatt ⚽️
Zach Martin ⚽️ (sponsored by Dynamic Mechanical Services and Greens Electrical and Plumbing Ltd) - Video attached
Ethan opened the scoring after 11 minutes, from their keeper scuffing his goal kick into their midfielder, where Elliot Hammond (sponsored by Monarch Artstone) pounced on a loose touch, which fell to Ethan, who took a touch and from the outside of the box curled one into the side netting.
We went in deservedly 1-0 up at half time. After that, Stanningley came into the game more and had their own chances, but we held out until the 92nd minute, where they equalised after a corner was whipped in, there was a bit of a mess in the box, with headers cleared but they kept coming back in, and it fell to their player who volleyed it home into the roof of the net. The lads could have felt sorry for themselves, but we kept going until the end and nice bit of passing play from the lads paid off. The ball was spread out wide by Dean Lingwood (sponsored by Hudson Plastering services) to Morgan Hammond, then Deano carried on with his run between the centre back and left back, where Morgan fed the ball through and their defender clipped Dean’s ankle and he falls over in the box. Pen given, Zach took and slotted it into the bottom left corner, in the 97th minute! Shortly after, the ref blew for full time and we ran out 2-1 winners!
A great performance and win to cap off our debut season in the Yorkshire Amateur League! A win against an already promoted side is a good feat and a good one to end on. That sees us finish the season in 4th and we’d have snapped your hand off for that at the start of the season. On the other hand, we missed out on promotion by just 1 point in the end. 2 points out of 9 against 3 of the bottom 4 at home has seen us fall just short. We’ve beat the top 3 at home, so it’s a hard one to take looking back.
That being said, I’m proud of the lads and that season. Let’s hope next season we can go one better!
Finally, thanks to all of our sponsors and everyone that has come to support us this year, it’s massively appreciated. As always, thanks to the management team in Neil and Matthew for always backing us. Now for a long rest and back to it in September!

Match-day!
Today we face Stanningley Old Boys FC in our last league game of the season in the Yorkshire Amateur League - Championship.
We host with a 14-man squad. There are a few changes from our last outing against Wortley FC, with a few of the lads returning, but also a few unavailable. 4 changes are made as Owen Leith, Dom Oldham, Matty Ockleton and Alex Haigh are unavailable, so L.Geary returns from injury, Gaz Roberts steps up to help us out after his season at Waterloo is finished and we finally have Morgan Hammond back in the squad 😻 Praying he returns fully next season 🙏🏻
Even though our promotion hopes are over, the lads will want to end the season on a high, as we look to finish as high in the table as possible. However, we know it’ll be another tough game, as Stanningley are already up and have raised their levels massively in the second half of the season. It’ll be a great game for sure!
We’d really appreciate anyone coming down to support the lads, in our last game!
Kick-off: 14:00 at Slack Lane

Tomorrow, the lads hope to end the season on a high as we host recently promoted Stanningley Old Boys FC in the Yorkshire Amateur League - Championship.
The opposition sit second and gained promotion last week, so we know it’ll be another toughy. We were poor at their place and were deservedly beat 3-2, so the lads will look for revenge in this one and hope to grab all 3 points to finish the season respectably in 4th. This will be no easy feat though.
We’d really appreciate anyone coming down to Slack Lane in our last game of the season. I’m sure the lads would massively appreciate your support!
Poster boy - James Brown in his last game for the club before he retires (is whipped) 😢
Kick-off: 14:00 at Slack Lane.

Wortley FC Res 1-4 Durkar FC FT
What a performance and what a result!
Very proud of the lads today to bounce back from 2 defeats in a row. Such a shame that performance came after promotion was done.
We started well, were on top of the play and had plenty of chances, but didn’t make it count early doors. However, around half an hour in, we won a thrown in on the left, which Finlay Pell (sponsored by Amici-Alwoodley) laid back to Owen Mark (sponsored by Jane's Pots of Paint) who whipped a cross all the way across the box and it found the bottom corner. Just 10 minutes later, we made it 0-2 in a great counter attack, as Josh Cameron-Edwards (sponsored by REPM training) spread the ball across the pitch to Leithy who drove down the left and gave it to Zach Martin (sponsored by Dynamic Mechanical Services and Greens Electrical & Plumbing), who put a lovely ball through to Drew Ward, who cut it back to that man Elliot Hammond (sponsored by Monarch Artstone) to slot it past the keeper on his left peg. This saw us go in 0-2 up at half time and we had played a great half of football.
Into the second half we went and we started well again, but credit to Wortley who came into the game a bit more. 15 minutes into the second half they grabbed one back, after a cross was headed in at the back post. This could have rumbled the lads, but the response was unbelievable. 2 goals in the space of 5 minutes to put us 1-4 up and in cruise control. Firstly, we won a free kick just inside the opposition half and Dom Oldham (sponsored by Wharfedale Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Ltd) put a beautiful ball over the top of the Wortley defence for Elliot Hammond to grab his second of the night, heading it over the keeper to loop in. Then, Matthew Ockleton (sponsored by GMP Properties) intercepted a loose pass from their cb and drove towards their box, where he smashed it over the keeper’s head on his left peg from 25/30 yards out. A fantastic goal, where the keeper was literally frame mogged by the smallest man on the pitch. The lads rode the last 25 minutes out and we came out deserved winners. Impressed with everyone tonight, we played great football and thoroughly deserved the 3 points.
We showed a lot of grit and determination to win that, especially after the equaliser! Massive that from the lads today to bounce back after a disheartening loss Saturday. A cracking performance.
Man of the match: Elliot Hammond!
The boys will be wanting to finish the season well next Saturday at home against Stanningley Old Boys FC, in a tough game to end the season. Depending on this Saturday, they could be already up or could need to win to go up… It’s going to be a tough test for certain! Here’s hoping we can perform like tonight again!

Match-day!
Tonight we face Wortley FC Res in our penultimate league game of the season in the Yorkshire Amateur League - Championship.
Even though our promotion hopes are over, the lads will want to end the season on a high and get back to winning ways, as we look to finish as high in the table as possible. However, we know it’ll be another tough game, as Wortley are fighting to stay up and took a point off us at home. It’ll be a battle for sure!
We’d really appreciate anyone traveling over to Wortley tonight to support the lads, in our penultimate game!
Kick-off: 18:30 at Wortley FC

Durkar 0-1 Fairbank United FT
Don’t really know what to say…
We started really poorly and Fairbank deservedly took the lead around 15/20 minutes in. We went in at half time lucky not to be 2 down, but also could have made it 1-1 with a good chance missed.
We had a stern talking to at half time and came out far better in the second half. We dominated and created multiple chances, but it was the story of our season and we couldn’t find the net. Another loss against a team at the bottom that we just couldn’t break down. Fair play to Fairbank, who had 2 excellent forwards that didn’t play at their place, who ran the game. As for us, that’s probably it now, baring miracle results.
The lads are obviously gutted and we did feel like we deserved something today, but multiple chances saw us come away with nothing. It feels almost like we’ve thrown all our hard work away.
Gutted.

Match-day!
Here’s today’s squad to face Fairbank United in our 18th league game of the season in the Yorkshire Amateur League - Championship.
We host with a 15-man squad. There are a few changes from our last outing against Salts FC, with a few of the lads returning, but also a few unavailable. 2 changes are made as Max Greaves makes way for the return of Jimmy Brown and Ethan Newbatt.
Yet again, it’s another important game towards the end of the season and we know we must get 3 points. We know that a result today would be lift us back up the league table and would push us right up there. Here’s hoping 🙏🏻
We’d really appreciate anyone coming down to Slack Lane today to support the lads, in our penultimate home game!
Kick-off: 14:00 at Slack Lane
