Back at home in league action again, trying to continue the momentum against AFC Swifts who have started the season well.

We started the game positively, playing some brilliant football in areas but we just could not get the opener. Credit to the Swifts lads because no matter how much pressure we put on them, they defended well.

Going into Half Time 0-0, we knew if we continued playing the way we was then it would eventually come.

Second half it did just that, with an absolute screamer from Tom Wright, followed by 2 quick goals from Sedge and Jacob gave us a deserved 3 goal advantage just 15 minutes into the second half. We then took total momentum of the game as we created more and more chances.

George Overton, from CB went on a mazy run taking 5 or 6 Swifts players on before calmly slotting the ball into the net to make it 4-0 with 15 minutes to go.

Then, with 10 minutes to go, Josh Nixon deservedly got his goal which was closely followed by a second. He ran his socks off again today so good to see him reap the rewards.

Overall another very strong performance from the boys, we would like to wish AFC Swifts the best for the rest of the season - great bunch of lads.

This Sunday we return to league action as we welcome AFC Swifts for another big game, and the lads are ready to put on a performance in front of the home crowd!๐Ÿ

What a game! Both teams undefeated this season. Against high flying BSFC was going to be our biggest test yet. A crazy game for a neutral but all in all, we came away deserved winners.

The fastest start weโ€™ve had all season, BSFC couldnโ€™t get to grips with The Doggers. Solid at the back, Quality in possession, Hungry up top. It was a perfect start. Louis Newlandโ€™s pass found Josh Nixon 1v1 to open the scoring. Shortly after a neat triangle found George Overton on the edge of the box to bury one across the keeper. BSFC scored 2 just before HT to make it 2-2.

Second half. We started off on the front foot. We didnโ€™t make the most of our chances, then found ourselves 3-2 down. Josh Nixons chaotic work rate caused on the back line a problem for Budgie to stroke one into an open net 3-3. Jack Nixon found himself on the edge of the box and gracefully slotted in our #9 4-3 ๐Ÿ˜… The doggers in complete control, football was flowing. Arguable the best weโ€™ve played all season, Mitch Cattel found Jack Nixon 18 yards out. 5-3 10 minutes left ๐Ÿซฃ

BSFC buried a free kick with 1 minute left of the clock. A complacent error off KO saw BSFC have a free kick and send every man into the box. We defended the first wave, but failed the 2nd 5-5 FT. It definitely a learning curve but what a game! Credit to BSFC for not giving up.

Travs Debut in goal, what a performance he had. We conceded 4 poor goals but, realistically we defended very well today just didnโ€™t deal with some of the basics. Our first season together. What a statement, throughly deserved and on another day the game would have been out of reach by half time.

The Squad as a whole, we done everything what was asked. Some learning curves along the way, but to put 5 passed an undeafeated side, it wasnโ€™t perfect but we got the job done.

An intense start from both sides, made it an end to end opening 20minutes. The Doggers started taking control, however Norton defended well. 40 minutes on the clock Mitch Cattell won a penalty, Sedge converted 1-0 HT.

Second half we started with more intensity, and chances followed

Jimi Newlandโ€™s corner fell to Fraser Griffths. Buried it under the keeper to open his account. Shortly after, Joe merricks cross, was met by Jack Nixons bullet header 3-0.

Then came the onslaught. Ryan got introduced to the game, swung one into the far corner 10 minutes into his cameo. His 10/10 work ethic panicked the defenders, he squared one to sedge shortly after 5-0.

A scramble at the back, saw Jimi Newland trivela one from 20yards over the keeper. 6-0 Doggers.

A great performance all round, and still think we havenโ€™t found our 6th gear yet.

With our league game called off, we organised a friendly to keep the lads ticking over.

A great chance to look at new things. Fresh faces and plenty of minutes for everyone.

A great ball from debutant(s) Louis Newland, found Tyler Rose. his cross was turned in by a Bradmore player 1-0. 25 minutes on the clock. We started to settle into the game, moving the ball well creating plenty of chances. Kirby and George partnership got off like a house on fire. Tackles won, aerial duels won. Positive first half performance.

A few changes due to fatigue and last night antics saw us change things around. Plenty of positives, plenty of learning curves. A mix up saw us go level, but we got our heads together and got at them again. Tom Wright found himself in the box, kept his balance brilliantly whilst bodies flying at him. Got his shot off, but Mitch Cattel was there to put the ball into an empty net.

It finished 2-1 to the doggers, perfect test for the lads. Missing 4/5 players but still fielding out a strong enough side to beat our toughest opponents yet.

We asked the lads to play with energy and thatโ€™s exactly what they did, a lot sore legs in the morning but credit to everyone. Back to league action next week.
