Old Corinthians Walking Football Club

Like England reaching the World Cup semi-finals, Old Corinthians Walking Football Club have shown teamwork, determination and community spirit by raising an incredible £1,100 for us at Compton Care.

The team, who play at Rushall Olympic, organised a charity walking football tournament, with funds raised through team registrations and generous donations made on the day.

We would like to thank everyone who supported the event, whether by taking part, volunteering, donating or coming along to cheer on the teams. Your support has made a real difference.

It was once again a great morning to meet the Old Corinthians Walking Football Club at Rushall Olympic!

This club is a brilliant example of community sport for the over-50s. They provide a fun, friendly, and safe environment for members to stay active, socialise, and enjoy a game in a lower-impact format. I want to applaud Keith and all of the team, and it was a great pleasure to be part of the tournament.

Groups such as the Old Corinthians are a great example of groups who offer people the opportunity to balance, coordination, mental health, and social contact later in life.

It was a pleasure to once again enjoy watching one of their tournaments and see how they raise money for some of the charities across our local area - in this case Compton Care.

On Friday 19th June 2026, Old Corinthians Walking Football Club hosted their 3rd Charity Tournament of the season. The chosen beneficiary was Compton Care.

On a sunny morning, 8 local teams battled it out for the OCWFC Shield. Winners,for the second season in a row, were MSA Burntwood Strollers. They narrowly beat Coventry in a very close final.

Special thanks to the committee and players of OCWFC for organising the event.

The big winners will be Compton Care who will receive a cheque from the club for over £1,000.
