New research published today — 147,000 people, tracked for 30 years.
The finding: just 90–120 minutes of strength training a week linked to a 13% lower risk of death from any cause. Cardiovascular disease by 19%. Neurological conditions by 27%.
Two sessions. That’s it.
If you’re over 40 and you’ve been thinking about building strength training into your life — with proper coaching and people your own age alongside you — now’s a good time to start.

Water isn’t the most hydrating thing you can drink.
A group of researchers from St Andrews University built something called the Beverage Hydration Index - testing 13 drinks to measure how much fluid your body actually retains.
Water scored 1.0. The benchmark.
Skim milk? 1.58. Meaning your body held onto 58% more fluid compared to the same volume of water.
But here’s the part that matters for you: after 40, your thirst signal fades. By the time you feel thirsty, your body’s already behind. That’s not a scare story - it’s just biology. And it’s worth knowing.
Swipe through for what the research actually says, and what you can practically do with it.

“I hated gyms. And I thought I was too unfit to start.”
That’s what one of our members told us. She knew people who came to our programme. She’d heard how much they loved it. But the doubt kept her away.
She joined anyway.
A few sessions in, she messaged us: “I am enjoying the group sessions. Everyone, including other members, are very helpful. Muscles still aching after each session.”
That last part made us smile. Muscle soreness after your first few sessions is completely normal, it’s your body waking up and adapting. It fades, and quickly. What tends to stay is the energy, the strength, and the feeling that you made the right call.
She’s already seeing results. And she started from exactly the place she thought disqualified her.
There is no “too unfit to start” here. There’s just a first session.
If that sounds like something you need, message us and we’ll take it from there.

Most people don’t walk into MeTime saying,
“I’m definitely joining today.”
They come in curious.
A little cautious.
Just wanting to have a look.
And that’s exactly what a tour is for.
No workout on the spot.
No pressure.
No awkward sales pitch.
Just a proper conversation about you — what you want, what hasn’t worked before, and whether this feels like the right place to start again.
Last week alone, four people came “just to look”…
All four joined.
Sometimes you don’t need more motivation.
You just need to see it for yourself.
If you’d like to come and have a look,
reply TOUR or send us a message.

A recent 30-year study uncovered something remarkable.
Out of over 105,000 people tracked for decades…
9.3% reached a later stage of life with their health, energy, and independence fully intact.
It wasn’t genetics.
It wasn’t luck.
It was daily choices—what they ate, how they moved, how they cared for their bodies.
✅ Real food over processed
✅ Movement over stillness
✅ Strength over slowing down
It’s not about being perfect.
It’s about showing up—for your future self.
Healthy ageing isn’t an accident. It’s a decision.
